What do y’all think about this?

this one has been posted here a bunch of times, I posted about it first in this thread when it was listed $3800...the seller actually says that it's not a police car but just has some mods done to it to make it look like one..then it was listed for $9000, @67newport posted about it in this thread looks like it's using the same photos for the Mecum listing.

I think most of us agreed that it was pretty overpriced..

Sweet they'll be about a mile and a half from my house when they come to Muscle Car City.. Always wanted to see a dog and pony show.

So as the opening car at the auction at NR it’s worth a couple grand if your towing it home yourself....!

I was a little suspicious so I asked.

I’ll go look at something else there.

thanks for the insight.

I may be wrong, but did mecum stopped posting vins making it harder to research a car? Am I wrong there too? Maybe I follow too many auction sites but I’ve tracked my own vins post sale and seen them come up on mecum and elsewhere. I don’t see ant vins on the cars I’m watching at Kissimmee.

Clown car starter pack, I've seen it on CL quite a few times and didn't pay much attention too it.
But wait! I have pictures of it before it started it's clown car conversion! Pictures from 2019 listed in Craigslist (Bryant) TX(?) for $1,500 with what appears to me as Arkansas Antique Plates #15772. Pics have the same seat covers & cracked steering wheel but no spotlight, cert speedometer, or whip attenna.

Here's the VIN plate & Fender Tag.

This one probably was not red to start with, as it shows obvious signs of a repaint. Many other alterations. Note shiny black paint on the fender wells, firewall should be body color, painted bumpers, cobbled together heater pipes, engine is the wrong color and there is no numbers matching in '67. This car strikes me as a toy that someone put together regardless of the puff piece description.

"1 of 1 special order car" more like a one of none now, but it's a "Sport Fury 2 Door Fastback" sooo... I could be wrong.

Why oh why do they paint the bumpers and fender turn signals indicators but leave the bumper bolts chrome? Why not go 'All The Way'?
Seems like the 'Attention to Detail' pen ran out of ink before they got to the instrument cluster.

Missing screws, wonky temp gauge, black where it shouldn't be black. I mean this should be mint as this is what you will be glancing at all day long driving it.
Or is this just a 'Trailer Queen'? (I never understood that phrase).

And the spark plug wires zip tied to the inner fender :BangHead: that'll be fun in awhile as every time the engine torques and pulls on the wires.
And some HEI wires and some non-HEI wires on the cap? How'd dea do dat?

Well Well Well... BINGO! I known I've seen this car before. Here's a picture of it apparently at the 2011 Daytona Beach Speedway.
I'm trying to think of the last time I went to a Speedway Turkey Run, it's a picture from this decade for sure as the speedway seats have been painted multi-colors.
Picture was created on Nov 5th of 2011 so this maybe from the 2011 Spring Speedway show and I may have gone to that. Who knows...

The 1967 Fury hammered at $2,000 with some Mecum added hooey that it was a Texas Deputy Sheriff's car.

lots of nice old molars and imperials here.
