Newport gets seats re-upholstered!

FYI, headrests came out in 1968 as an option. I'd rather by in an accident in one of my C Body's than in a Smart Car or some other tiny car. Headrests keep you from breaking your neck as your head whips backwards in a rear-end collision.

Guess I'll have to sell my '67 Imperial...

Got the front seats back and in the car finally! Here’s some pics of the final result. I’m happy!

Turned out great! You even have matching dice!

Yeah Ive made up my mind, no buttons is cleaner and no headrests either, I think 1969 is when headrests were introduced. I like the pre 69 bench seat look no headrests better. I'd like to see your seat covers when you get them on too, I almost went that route but it made more sense to me to pay alittle more and just redo the seats

It does look really good without the headrests. I bought my cover's from legendary, as they had them for my application. They are perfect! And they've been in their box for a few years now. I really need to get crackin'!

Some have cited the safety issue with head rests but for me I feel not only do they protect the front seat occupants from serious injuries but they also make a car look sportier. When I see a 1969 Charger with bucket seats with no head rests it looks more mundane but when I see the headrests, it looks special and ready to roll.
My 69 f ury came without them and to me it detracts from the "sport" in the name and makes the car look incomplete.........................

If my car had bucket seats , then yes headrests would look better and sportier. I however have a bench seat and think headrests on a bench type seat look funny. Each their own.
