My Unicorn, eh?

Glad you got your 4 speed car man!

The experience you had this time makes me glad I have started using transport guys...I sure do miss the experience though.

Nice to see you finally got the car across the border and home. Sucks that it got hit on the way, but I'm sure you'll get it looking better than ever!
Congrats and enjoy the car!:steering:

I figure I'm in the trip for $2400, so I'm still under the $2950 I was quoted for an open trailer let them do the work. That money will go towards a quarter panel. Mix in my stimulus check, and I almost have enough for both panels.

Many thanks to you for posting this car, and helping me out. Couldn't have imagined I'd get a four speed car, but I did! Thanks again and again.

Thanks a lot for the road trip story. It is just such an adventure and so much fun driving an old car home. Sorry to hear the quarter got effed up. I guess it coulda been worse. Are you gonna have this new ride ready in time for Carlisle?

Congratulations on the acquisition! Very cool 4 speed car. Don’t recall the ad do you have interior pics coming soon I hope?

Agree with what everyone else said on the accident and very glad you weren’t hurt and no more damage was done.

I remember seeing it, don't remember the exact details but from what I remember it was sitting outside with grass grown aroumd it next to a pile of junk stuff. Believe the rear window of the car was broke IIRC? There was another car I think red or what is a faded red in the picture too I think. Am I wrong?

Great score Scott! Very happy you got your dream car, a big congratulations going out to you. I'm very sorry with what happened to the right side quarter panel though, you'll get it fixed although the panel or molding MAY not be easy to find. NOW I see why you were drooling at that red 4spd Polara in Carlisle......

That's what I remember although I mis-spoke on a thing or 2. So very sorry sir by the way for calling your stuff junk, hoping no harm was done. My apologies

No apologies needed, the pics were from where my buddy picked up the car from. The old guy had a lot of junk, but we ended up with the best stuff in his yard. The 65 300 is still there I believe.

I hope to have it there, if so, it will pretty much looked the way it does now. Get it running and mechanically sound is the first goal. It'll need a restoration, but I want to have some seat time first. I need to talk to the guy who will be doing the work, and aquire some sheet metal. This one won't stay Scruffy.

A hit to the pocketbook, for sure. But I hope to learn some welding and fabrication skills with the panel replacement. I won't be doing it, but I hope to help and learn.

I'll have some pictures tomorrow.
