I was searching the Internet for old Chrysler dealers in the Chicago area during the 1950's. I had a relative who worked at one called Harrigan's but I can't find any information about it. It might have been in Oak Park, IL, or west side of Chicago. I found this thread and it is fascinating, with great pictures! Does anyone know of a list of former Chrysler dealers? Thanks.

In the 1950s you have Tom Harrigan's, Inc., 414-452 Madison St, Oak Park, IL, Chrysler-Plymouth, later Chrysler, Imperial, Plymouth and Triumph dealer.

He was right there when a Plymouth cost only $655.

Thanks, LeBaron1973 and PeugFra, for so quickly finding those dealer details for me! That historical information is very interesting.

Normandin Chrysler Plymouth Imperial. Two locations 900 West Capital Expressway (still there), and 405 Santa Clara (gone), San Jose CA

Unknown year, probably before 1964 on Santa Clara

Just had the Road Runner painted!
Sitting beside the building was this 64 factory light weight max wedge.

Cfr. this internet snippet from September 1956:

"Lubec Motor Sales, Inc. CHRYSLER — PLYMOUTH. SALES and SERVICE. Distributor of Esso Products. DONALD WILSON, Mgr. LUBEC, MAINE"

This popped up today on my Facebook feed.

In Dolgeville, NY, east of Utica, NY. They say building still stands, but dealership is long gone. Looks like a colorized pic to me.

The former Pfuntner Sales and Service, Wellsville, NY. Opened in 1952, closed late '90s or early '00s.
Dad bought multiple vehicles there.
1956 Coronet 4dr, 1963 330 4dr, 1968 440 2dr. 1973 Charger, 1973 Dart Sport, 1974 Colt wagon.
They sold all the Chrysler brands, and also Simca and Sunbeam.
IMHO, founder's son ran it into the ground. Was more interested in radio stations, and a failed dinner boat.
It was cool back in the shop when they would move cars around upstairs, you could see the tires deflecting the ceiling.

At the time I lived there, Pfuntner's and the Ford dealer were the biggest, and there was a Chevy dealer, a Cadillac - Olds, and a Buick - Pontiac.
Now there's only 1 new car store, Chevy, Buick, GMC.
Anything else requires a trip 20 - 30 miles out of town.
