body parts

hi and let me state the obvious, i'm new to chryslers so forgive me if i'm asking a question that should be common knowledge.

i have a 1962 chrysler newport 2 door and i'm in need of fenders. will only newport fenders work? can i use 300 or new yorker? how about doors?
will fenders from a 4 door fit my two door?
thanks for any info.
oh also, i've been told that the c bodies were from 65. if thats the case, what is my 62?

Welcome from the Keystone State. You might get a few answers here, but you would be better off to put your question in the correct category.

Any '62 front fender will work. Trim is different.

One of the best things you can do is download a parts manual. There are exceptions and sometimes things "work" that don't share part numbers, but it will give you a lot of insight.

Based on this, your '62 is a "1st generation unibody", which precedes the C-body.

61 62 NY fenders are different. They 4 inches longer.
61,300 are also longer.

62 Newport,300 fenders are interchangeable
61 Newport will work.
