I know this isn't a Cbody but i have been working really hard on this car for 2, 3 years now and I'm ready to start driving it again. This is My Dads Numbers matching 70 340 Swinger, I drove in this car my whole life with him, up until a month before my Dad died, but now i am going to continue that partnership with my baby boy who is named after his Gran pap.

Hes growning like a weed, Polara Dave. A year and 2 months already. Becoming a Dad has completely changed me as a Human being for the better. Pushing instead of pulling was the single greatest decision i have ever made.

What a sweet little Dart and what a great sound! It's great you are keeping it in your family. Congratulations and enjoy!

Nothing changes you more than the birth of your 1st kid. The military is probably a close second but I wouldn't know.
The responsibility of knowing these people rely on you for everything is,
well,
I'm at a loss but you now know what it is. YOU will be just fine.

As retired military children still affect us the same way.

No comparison . Military didn’t change me, I changed it where I could, one person at a time.

Wonderful looking kid! And growing up a Chrysler man! You're doing things right.

Great story.. should rename your post “2 Boys and a car”.. lol. The car will always remind you of your youth of you your dad riding together, and now you have an awesome opportunity to create those same memories and more with your son. I’m envious. My dad bought a 70 duster brand new back in the day, I remember driving with him, standing up in the front seat holding onto his shoulder, back when kids did that!! as well as sitting his lap and driving it when I got big enough...

OH the memories.

He’s adorable, good for you and congrats all around!

It completely changes your perspective on what's important to you and what's not. He's at a really fun age. Enjoy him.

I envy that you are in the digital age where taking pictures is nothing. My kids were still in the age of film so while I have some good pictures, that camera wasn't in my pocket all the time like it is now.

A pic of my boys, taken about 30 years ago in my first car, a 1958 Garton Hot Rod (yes, I still have it). One of my favorite pics. John in the car and Matt standing.
