First, I would like to welcome you to the site, Second, For those who are trying to sell vehicles, or parts, Please include pictures. It goes a very long way towards a sale, (some members here will not consider a post if there are no pictures). We are picture junkies. Third, some of us members have over 50 years experience with these cars, (working on them when they were brand new). Fourth, When asking for technical advice, please give us a detailed description of you problem, make, model, body style, and most of all PICTURES. Fifth, If you are a "Flipper" Members will call you out, some of us spend a lot of time online, and we know these cars better than anyone. Good Luck.

And allow me to add this: When writing up a post, please give it a TITLE that indicates the subject. Those of us who have been on any type of technical forum simply don't click on a post that screams "HAVE A PROBLEM" or "NEED ADVICE". C'mon....you're asking for our time and advice, so can't YOU take the time to write something like "Adjusting valves?" or "68 Fury dash wiring". That way, if any of us has some experience (which is very likely), you'll get some useful responses.

For instance, I scan the home page for subjects I might know about. But I don't click on a post that asks about the interior of a 67 Imp, because I don't know anything about it. And I don't click on "Strange noise, but I might click on "Strange noise from rear axle area".

Good post, traintech55.

Thank you @traintech55 for starting this thread..I think I should add a bit about the Mopars For Sale Forum...

There are a few members that regularly post cars..that are not theirs..just like a FB or CL find....so please don't message them.. "still for sale?" "I think I talked to you about the car, is it still available?"..when it's clearly marked Not Mine, just talk to the owner on CL/FB....unless you need help contacting the owner on say FB when you don't have a FB account..in case ya many of us will be happy to help...hope that makes sense...

My Inbox and I thank you in Advance.

i got 2 of these yesterday. for a 1965 newport posted a year and half ago and for a 1993 imperial from a month shy of 3 years ago and i clearly stated 'not mine'. are these scammers or actual people looking to buy?

...It's more likely a scammer if they're people with like 1 message..and zero likes..and if their Welcome Wagon stuff sounds fishy?
that's what I do when someone messages me who isn't an active member here..just check their welcome wagon...If it sounds super weird...I don't even bother...or I just copy paste.."The cars I post here are not mine...hence the Not Mine in the title....please contact the actual owner on FB/CL...Good Luck!"

I've had about 30 people message me now (since I joined the forum)...I'd say a solid 20 were actual people looking to buy the car...but either didn't notice the Not Mine or even in some cased the SOLD status of the thread...or just didn't bother I guess...or they were looking for help like..sending a message on FB or something(which is cool)..The rest ten...now I'm not 100% sure but..it was super weird...broken english...them just copy-pasting the same message over and over...or them not even being sure about what car they're talking about....
