The main problem with our kitchen cabinet is that we have a roller dishwasher, with a hose that extends out the back, and attaches at the faucet. I need some advice on how much it would cost to get us synthetic stone counter top and medium grade wood and replace the cabinet in the pictures with a cabinet that accommodates a dishwasher and a new oven. Measuring from the corner of the L outward, the length is 10 feet including the bit of counter around the oven and then another 5 feet which includes the counter under the microwave. IOW, there are measurements along the wall. Has anybody had a contractor build a cabinet of this size. What did it cost? I’m interested with or without appliances. I know how to price appliances. I just don’t know what cabinetry costs. Many thanks as always for your help.

We were going to paint the upper cabinets white and continue to use. We were planning to use new appliances. The oven is over 20 years old and the dishwasher is over 6 years old.

Kitchens and bathroom are the most expensive rooms to renovate in any house.
Kitchens canvrun 12k to 22k and the sky is the limit.
Best to ask around for a goos contractor get three quotes and choose from there.

FWIW, cabinets aren't all that hard to install. I did ours with cabinets I ordered from Lowes. Not cheap, but cheaper than having them built. Prices are way different now, so I won't bother telling you...

I did a lot, moved the sink, refrigerator and stove, converted from electric to gas. Basically I took the kitchen and turned it then moved it to the other end of the room. Filled in one window and changed two others... So it was a lot of work, but I only had one night where we didn't have a working kitchen and had to order food.

Anyway... Cabinets are easy... Take your dimensions to Lowes or Home Depot and get some ideas. They will help design the kitchen.

Tear them out one part at a time... fix whatever with the walls and then screw a level board to the wall at the height of the bottom of the top cabinet. Set the cabinet on the board and screw them to the wall and to each other. Remove the board and that's it. Watch a You Tube video or two.

Bottoms take a little bit of shimming to get them level... but still easy. I really don't like granite type tops, they remind me too much of granite surface plates at work, so I just made the tops and covered them with laminate, but you can do something else.

A std. dishwasher usually goes in 24” cabinet. That cabinet in pic appears plenty wide enough. Assuming the counter is a std. hgt. of 36” you should be good. Use the cut out stile for side fill pieces since they match. New cabinets are very expensive but just a new granite counter top at approx. $3500 can make a big difference.

Oh yeah.. and get away from the "drop in" oven. You'll save $$ and the slide in ovens are easier to service and replace.

my grandparents had a rolling dishwasher, can't believe they still make them, and that i never bothered looking for new ones, but find a dishwasher with the silverware basket on the door

I don't like granite either. Thanks for all the info!

Thanks for the #s. That helps!

I did that exact thing.
My original drop in unit quit finally. I just cut out the toe kick area and the new slide-in fit the openings perfectly.
