Headers to fit 60-64 full size Mopars?

Having a 64 myself, you'll get lots of "why's" from other guys and although I haven't done it, custom headers are your best bet. Personally I went with the stainless truck headers and painted them with high heat spray. Warning though, I did have to "machine in" the passenger side to get it to fit.

Max wedge manifolds reproductions. Available on Ebay- $1200
i have long ram intakes, so those wont work. Besides, they would interfere with the steering box and heater on a 60-64 full size car. I want tube headers. Thanks.
If you have long rams, isn't there supposed to be some ducting from the exhaust manifolds to the bottom of the carb plenums on the intake manifolds? For better cool/frigid weather driveability? What diameter exhaust system is under the car?

I'm not worried about the heat risers. It's a summer driven car, and will have electric chokes. Will be running 3 inch headpipes and 2 1/2" tailpipes. It's not stock or original.

Gotcha, I have long rams on my '66 Newport and run the stock exhaust manifolds with 2 1/2" exhaust pipes.
Awesome! That's pretty much what I am doing. I just want better flowing exhaust, and so far headers are looking non existant. Left side could use a center dump like a shorty, but passenger side needs the outlet a bit further back. The steering box and control arms on 60-64 bodiesmake headers a bit challenging
Curious as to your engine specs. Cam choice etc. I want a super torquey street only combo with monster low to mid range torque and easy cruising on the highway.

Stock 383 internals with a MoPar Performance "purple shaft" hydraulic flat tapped cam. RPM range is idle to 5800, lift is .450 intake/.475 exhaust. Good vacuum, excellent throttle response and it cruises great.

Note: when I ran the fuel lines I omitted the rubber at the carb ends. The only rubber is on each side of the OEM style fuel filter. I despise rubber lines on engines. I used the ni-copper tubing, it's really easy to bend and not flatten or kink.

Also the heater box fiberglass is very close to manifold. Note cutoff corner on heater box.
These max wedge manifolds were on this 61 when I got it.
