Seriously, I have heard this size ratio discussed but never confirmed it on my own. In case not evident, the size of the Titanic (launched 1912) vs. one of the big honkin' Royal Caribbean cruise ships of the modern era

The Titanic of parked next to the Queen Mary would also appear much smaller, although not this extreme. Titanic was not a large ship when compared to those that came less than a decade later.
 
USS Enterprise CVN 65 was largest carrier ever built (US/ only ones that matter), and it's 1122', compared to Titantic at 886'.

Waves and weather either. Engine room would look pretty good from there on a winter's day in the north Atlantic
