1968 Chrysler Town and Country Three-Row Wagon - $2,000 - Granite Falls, Washington

CL Description

68 Chrysler Town and Country 9 passenger wagon. Very heavily optioned car. This car has spent it's whole life in the Puget Sound area, but unfortunately was sitting for a long time before I acquired it. I got it running and driving, but you will need a trailer because it desperately needs an alignment and front sway bar bushings. The car runs incredible, shifts, stops and steers. Most all electrical options work. All glass is excellent. Has some minor rust in a couple of doors and a quarter panel. Floors and rockers are rock solid.
Here is a list:
Drivetrain-383 4bbl, 727 trans, 8-3/4 rear. New gaskets, radiator, water pump, thorough tune up, new brake and fuel lines, gas tank flushed, u-joints, rear end seals, new brakes and wheel cylinders, shocks and leaf spring bushings, front wheel bearings and seals. Front brakes are new, but one of the calipers sticks. Possible propotioning valve (?).
Options include:
9 passenger (3rd row).
Power steering w/tilt and telescoping wheel.
Power disc brakes.
Air conditioning (not working and needs heater core).
Power windows(including extremely rare electric wing windows and tailgate).
Optional roof rack.
Cruise control (unsure if operating).
Auto dimming headlights (unsure if operating).
Electric 60/40 seats.
Dual "sport mirrors".
Power antennae.
This car would make a great driver or "rat rod", but probably not a great restoration candidate due to the rarity and expense of finding parts. All pieces of this car are here, but some are not that great of shape. Don't get it wrong, this car is ugly and your wife will definitely hate it, but it is cool. Paint and vinyl woodgrain are worn. Comes with a bunch of maintenance history and receipts, extra miscellaneous parts and grille. Clear title in my name. No scammers. I don't want help selling it. I wont hold it or take payments. First one with cash gets it. Cash only, and once again...it will need to be towed or trailered home. I work evenings.

Give it time since there are only two possibilities. One, actually bought by someone who cares. Two, bought by someone who will flip the car.

Ran into this yesterday with a 91 Mercury Cougar with the 5.0 engine. Only 100 yards from my office and so I looked and recognized. Guy came out from the gas station, as it was on the street next to it, to ask if I was interested. It was marked $2750 and I said I would if it was at $1850 which is what it is worth and what it sold for 14 days earlier. He looked at me and I said I follow the local Craigslist every day and saw it there 50 miles from here. So no I am not interested.
