I want to change-up the look of my Windsor a bit by running Chrysler dog-dish hubcaps with trim rings. I'm running 15x7 standard steel wheels (not police wheels nor Rallyes).

I need to buy the trim rings. I see there are different depths of trim rings available. There are some 3" deep ones which say they fit Chrysler 15x7 Rallye wheels. Will they also fit regular Chrysler steel wheels? Example:
Trim Ring | 15 Inch x 3 Inch Step | Polished Finish

Or would I be better off getting 2.5" deep ones?
Trim Ring | 15 Inch x 2.5 Inch Step

Thanks

The 2.5" ones are the ones I remember were on most Mopars that had them originally - a brushed finish rather than the more polished version. I've also noticed that often times there was a gap between the inner edge of the ring to the wheel...

That being said, whether the 2.5" ones are "correct" or not, I prefer the more polished ones 3" version.

Can you get them on Amazon . ca ? If so, then if they don't fit, you can return them with no questions asked, and no fee (most of the time).
Amazon.ca : 15" trim rings

Thanks Ross,
I was going to get polished ones, and I think I prefer the squared-off front face that was usually used on Mopars, not the rounded style that a lot of generic ones (and 80's GM Rallye wheels) have.

I looked on Amazon before and a lot of the ones on there have bad reviews. I just had the idea of calling the "Lug Nut King" in Pt.Colborne to see if he has any in stock. If so, I could wait till my Windsor is out of storage, pay him a visit, and check the fitment before buying. Plus I'd be supporting a local vendor.

For what it's worth, I might advise matching the trim rings to the hubcap, some are brushed, others are polished, etc..

Someone in DC (not on this list that I'm aware of) has a '68 Newport droptop with the Chrysler Dog Dish hubcaps, body-color (light yellow) painted wheels, and polished trim rings, it makes a nice look. If you have the later "poverty" caps which SEEM to be brushed, the brushed rings might work better. Good luck, and looking forward to the result.

Here’s what I ran back in the 80’s. They all look good from 20 feet.

I could only find the rounder type. Nobody could tell they weren’t stock while my little Giant Killer was whooping their @$$e$ LoL. I spent my $$$ on W2 stuff...

I actually was having this discussion with someone on Facebook yesterday. I bought myself a set of cop rally wheels in February of 2020 and then in October bought a set of Fratzog hubcaps (to fit Delmae’s ratty look). However, the look I really want to go for is the top photo, which is similar to what the Super Coupes had. I’ve heard that early Mopar Rally wheel centers will fit, so I’m looking for beauty rings now

I have these on my A-100 , they are from a Ford truck . I have the pt # if interested in using something like this.

I have a set of the correct 1966 Chrysler dog dish caps like your first photo and my wheels are powdercoated black.

I got in touch with Wayne Young "The Lugnut King" who is a long-time vendor at southern Ontario swap meets. He set me up with a set of 15" x 2.5" deep chromed stainless trim rings for $135 CDN. He was going to be in the area this morning on his way up north so we met-up and I bought them from him. Here they are test-fit on one of my rusty spare wheels. My actual wheels are powder coated black. Now I just need to buff my dogdish caps so they're as shiny as the trim rings and repaint the black line that's supposed to be on them. :)
