One of the last steps in getting the car back on the road is reconnecting the center link. Pitman arm was just fine, but I can't get the nut on the idler arm to tighten. How do I get it torqued to spec, do I need to loan some air tools from a friend or am I missing something? It's a '75 Imperial. Thanks in advance!

G'Day,
I can't quite understand what you mean by "Can't Tighten"
Is it Spinning? What???
Not a Big Fan of using Air Tools for Tightening Stuff.
For Undoing a Nut or Bolt, Yes, BUT have you ever tried to loosen Wheel Nuts after the W/Shop has used a Rattle Gun.
(Don Athaldo had Nothing on these Fellas)
A Torque Wrench & a Cotter Pin should be sufficient.
But I repeat I'm a Little Confused as to what the Problem is.
If the Nut is Spinning then perhaps the Wrong Thread, (Too Loose Whatever)
A Little More Information Might Help.

It must not be seated in the drag link. It's cone shaped. Sometimes a c clamp or a jack can push the stud deeper into the hole to "grab" and not turn

Now I feel silly, the stud kept spinning but I totally forgot about the taper...
Thanks guys, it's all tight now

Oh Dear!
Never Occurred to Me.
Yes, We All do have these Moments, What Worries Me is that the Older I Get the More of these Moments I'm Having. LOL
All the Best. Tony.M
