Could someone tell me why my engine dies when I put it in gear? I have a 65 Plymouth fury lll with a torque flight 727 the motor and trans. Are a 68 383 4 bl. Both are rebuilt and work fine the problem is even with the idle set up on it when I go from park to reverse it’s like letting the clutch out with the brake on ? If I keep it revved up enough and put it in gear I can go ok. Any advice is appreciated.

Cam specs? What carburetor? What intake? What ignition? What torque converter? What hot base idle speed in "P" or "N"? What base timing?

Please advise,

1. Timing set right?
2. Adjust idle speed up?
3. Were idle mixture screws set correctly?

Speaking of vacuum leaks, I don't see a pcv hose if it's a new edelbrock, is the pcv port in the back of the carb plugged?

Obviously, the picture is just after installation in the vehicle. I see the breather/oil cap on the driver's side, but some sort of cover for the pass side pcv location. An updated "as installed and running" picture might be helpful?

Looks like a nice installation, from the picture.
