I have a 96 Jeep Cherokee with 4.0 and a 5 speed. A lady wanted to buy it for the motor, but when she saw it was a 5 speed she said someone told her the motor wouldn't work.

I thought you could put the motor from a stick shift into an automatic, but not the other way due to the crank not being machined for the throw out bearing.

All you gotta do is remove the pilot bushing from the crank.
