Well, I have recieved both of my Covid vaccines and I decided I need to see a concert. So I'm going to see Brit Floyd play at the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore. The Lyric was built in 1894 and seats 2564 people. I'm sure only about 50% at maximum will be allowed in. I've been to many concerts at this place and the acoustics is just unbelievable! The building was designed for sound in 1894. I have seen Brit Floyd about 20 times since 2011. It's a killer concert.....they sound better than Pink Floyd! I've been fortunate to score some front row seats that include the soundcheck! I'll have my mask on and drink a bottle of diet Coke during the concert. They usually play 1.5 hours and take a 20 minute break and play for another 1.5 hours. If you get a chance to see them in your area.....I would go see them and enjoy yourself for a couple of hours.

2021 is turning around.....

As a long time fan of Pink Floyd, I have been lucky enough to see them many times, starting with the first quadrophonic concert with Dark Side, Animals, Wish you were here, the Wall and my favorite, The Division Bell. I also managed to catch Brit Floyd in BC a couple of years ago, and agree that they put on a spectacular show! Their guy is no David Gilmour (but who is) but I found myself closing my eyes at times and could not tell the difference. One of the truly great tribute bands, in my humble opinion. I doubt you will see the real thing ever again, and this concert is a real close second. Cam (shaft)

I saw Pink Floyd twice. 1975 at County Stadium in Milwaukee. And The Wall concert in the 1980's in Berlin when I was in the Army. I've seen Brit Floyd about 10 times in Maryland and Wisconsin. I agree Brit Floyd puts on a hell of a concert. No way will Pink Floyd ever play again as a band. I would like to see David Gilmour play one more time!

I also have seen the Australian Pink Floyd show in DC. It was a good concert but not even close to Brit Floyd or Pink Floyd. It was still a great night and concert.

I have VIP Soundcheck passes for Brit Floyd that was suppose to play May 22nd in Baltimore but they postponed the concert last week. Kind of pissed me off! First row right in front. Not cheap seats.... these were $186 a piece which is a lot for a Brit Floyd concert. This was the rescheduled concert from 2020 and then they postponed it. I can get a refund but I need to hear some great live music soon!

Ah jeez!
College dorm flashback, Budweiser, beer nuts and Dark Side of the Moon on 8 track over and over and over.

I happen to agree that PF without Roger Waters influence on the band is pretty lame. Roger became the lyricist and visionary behind the band's music after the death of Syd Barrett, and it is no coincidence that the band completely changed direction, beginning with Dark Side. (Who remembers a Saucerful of Secrets or Atom Hart Mother anyway???) After Roger Waters quit, they ran out a couple of duds to fulfill their contract to their label, and disappeared from sight. I have to admit though that David Gilmour's solo albums easily topped Waters' efforts after the break up. Like many big ticket bands, the sum of the parts was greater than the whole. CG

Congrats Bob, hope you have a good time. They are a VERY good band, I seen them once

I have seen them a couple of times they always put on a great show. When you can't have the original, this a great way to spend the evening listening to some of my all-time time favorites.

Roger Waters ruins Pink Floyd shows with his Political bs. He had a giant shrinking penis on the screen last round. So much for bringing the kids. Never again.

His father was a Communist in the British Army and was killed in WWII in 1944, I believe in Cassino. His body was never found.

That would explain all the inner turmoil and anger. My great uncle died in WWII the same year in France. I hope he eventually finds his peace.
