Has anyone ever found replacement/after market quarter panels for 70 C-body Chryslers? I have a very nice looking 300 Hurst, but I am a bit suspicious of what might be under my shiny paint on my quarter panels. If/when something underneath begins to fail, I'd like to have replacement sheet metal at the ready and not have to rely on total fabrication of the right shapes of metal to do the repair before repainting.

You may want to try hitting up Murray B. Park in Ohio. He freight shipped me a rear quarter for my 64. He's got tons of Mopar gold. I would say give him a call and see what he has.

To answer your question directly, No. There is not any decent, let alone good replacement quarter or other metal aftermarket availability for c bodies. Your option is NOS or used.
The new metal claiming to fit, will not . The contours will be wrong and the metal is not close to correct gauge.

If you are worried about what's underneath the paint, you can do your best to look at the backside of the metal from inside the luggage compartment. Other than that, careful inspection of the flange areas at the front of the panels and other areas where the quarter panels attach to the rest of the body structure for non-original joints/seams. PLUS using a good magnet to detect bondo, too.

I'm suspecting that you bought the car without any investigation of what might have been done to it by some prior owners?

Just some thoughts,

There was the shell of a 300 on here for sale a few weeks back. Maybe it’s still available as a whole. I’ll see if I can find it.

I agree. I once purchased an aftermarket quarter panel for a 1972 Newport 2dr and the fit was horrible. The lower body contour was wrong and body lines off. Get nos or original metal off another car and don't waste your time.
