  • I remember you from the Dry Dock. Really don't do any gigging. My 17 year old son plays a Strat so he and I have lots of fun together. He has actually played my bass in his senior high worship team at our church when they needed a bass player. I have DiAddario roundwounds with the stock pick ups. Classic P Bass sound. My Fury III is tucked away for the winter. Nice hearing from you.
I couldn't help but notice your avatar, the late, great James Jamerson. One of the most influential bassist in music history. I am a bassist myself. I have a '75 Fender Precision bass that I bought in '79. Nice to have you on board with us. Two of my favorite things, music and Mopars.

Good eye!!! He’s sort of the Rosetta Stone of modern day bass playing...I will go so far as to say he’s the reason why music got funky in the first place. It sounds crazy, but look at the timeline...James Brown was doing “doo-wop” around the time Jamerson’s lines were breaking through the airwaves.

How is your ‘75 setup? Do any gigging?

I played a J with roundwounds all through HS and college...then I got myself a sunburst American Special P with flatwounds and thought “THIS is where my sound was the whole time!”
