I also remember that the value of the MDH was challenged in determining these matters, by a slightly different date on the broadcast sheet: CS23T8C182416, MDH 061610, BCP 06200927 The broadcast sheet date is Tuesday, June 20, the MDH date Friday, June 16. That needs to be explained, of course...

Just for the record, the door sticker also says MDH 061413, so it is not the last C-body produced. The last one we know about is CS23N8C183444 with MDH 062013.

If we change that into CSP "Colorado State Patrol", everything would fit. They had 1976 Gran Furys and they were white. You have to scroll a bit until it says "1976 CSP Plymouth Gran Fury". Same for 1977, going by this old ad.

The driver side A-pillar shows traces of what may have been a bracket for a spotlight. So it may well have been a cop car. But for which outfit?

I'd say pretty rare if it's true. In the 1970s the CHP was heavily into Dodges (C's and B's) for their "enforcement class" purchases. It may have been bought by the CHP for some other purpose, of course. So it needs some documentation to prove the claim. @shooter65 shot faster than I did.

With all those power options this car got probably ordered with the A08 Luxury Equipment Package. It should have an Electronic Digital Clock then.

That does look interesting! I didn't see codes D53 (or is it D58?) and N07 very often on fender tags. And a car produced after midnight, going by the MDH of 030100. I'll try to do a full decode by tomorrow (European time).
