    1966 300 mouldings

I tried something on one of the small clips. I drilled a very small hole then put a small screw in the hole and was able to get the pin out that way. This method may not be successful on some if they are really stuck in there.

    1966 300 mouldings

I'm starting to remove the trim on my 66 300. I was wondering how do I get the pin out of the clips in locations where I can't get to the back side. Any help would be appreciated.

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

Just measured, 47". I think Craig sold me the right ones, just something got packed wrong at Moog.

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

Maybe they discontinued the K7019A because the K7039 would work as well. I am positive that if Craig is selling them for the 66 300 then they are correct for the car. I think what has happened is someone back at Moog has put 1 wrong rubber in the box and I need another sloppy one so I can use...

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

Looks like Moog had a K7019A the was specified for the 66 Chrysler, but doesn't look like they are available from Moog right now.

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

Craig sold me the K7039 bushings. Moog's website says they fit 57 - 65 Chryslers and 66 Imperial. I don't see a Moog part number for a 66 Chrysler 300. I think I would prefer to have the sleeve, it helps maintain the correct length.

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

    Where did you get those?

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

Yes, that is correct. They did make 2 versions, it's right in the directions. It appears that what I have won't work. You said the Rock Auto bushings came with no sleeves. Would the old sleeves fit the Rock Auto bushings?

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

    All four rubbers.

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

So Rock Autos are not correct originals either. Making sleeves for what I have won't work because as I said, one of the four rubbers is a tight fit on the strut rod.

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

I feel that the inside diameter of all four sleeves should be the same.

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

That is interesting. The rubbers from Craig don't look at all like the orginals. So Rock Auto's bushings are the correct thickness? Do they come with sleeves?

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

There is no room for a sleeve in one of the four rubbers.

    Sleeveless strut rod bushings

Does anyone here have any experience with strut rod bushings with no sleeves? I am restoring a 1966 300 and the strut rod bushings I got from Mobile Parts didn't come with sleeves. The directions refer to both with or without sleeves, but 3 of the rubbers are very sloppy on the bar and one is...

Anyone know where I can get a couple of these? The round bar is just under 1/2".

Would you like to PM me with a price and what area of Ontario you live in?

    Upper ball joints

Yeah, I'm sure mine are worn

    Upper ball joints

The old ones fit but not as tight as they should be. They were tight coming out but I thing the threads are worn out. I have 2 new ball joints and they both fit the same way in both control arms. The new ones tighten up at the end so I am going to tighten them up then put some tacks on them.
