HELP!!! Urgent. Need a right side exhaust manifold replaced @ Carlisle.

You'll be there way before we arrive then. We're hoping to be set up by 1pm on Thursday. Send me a PM with your cell and I'll give you a call when I'm free on Thursday afternoon. It's supposed to be raining pretty good by the time John is going to arrive, so it would be nice to get it done...

Looking for photos of tti long tube headers on a big block

You're not kiddin' I'd advise bringing along a fire extinguisher any time you take this one for a drive. The splice in the fuel line right over the header gets the safety prize. The plug wire routing actually isn't all that bad. There's a lot more room in a C body than in the...

Looking for photos of tti long tube headers on a big block

Nice work. The Hookers are a bit more forgiving when it comes to wires than the tti's are. The Challenger has a set of Taylor wires on it now with 90 degree boots that are super close to the header tubes. The boots must be silicone, as they didn't melt when I drove the car back to his...

Looking for photos of tti long tube headers on a big block

That's what I'm looking for! Are those R&M Specialties? Did you make up your own wires? The lengths look too spot on to be an out of the box set. Jeff

Looking for photos of tti long tube headers on a big block

I recently installed a set of tti headers on a friend's Challenger. We are looking for a way to neaten up the plug wire situation. Instead of spending hours searching for solutions, I thought I'd ask to see if anyone has come up a nice combination of wires and holders that work well with the...

    Proud of myself.

Make sure to re-tighten your manifold after a few heat cycles. The waffle style exhaust manifold gaskets will compress quite a bit . Lots of people don't like to use gaskets, but I have had good luck as long as I go back and snug them down a second time. Jeff

TTI Shortie or Long Tube headers for 68 NY’er?

There's also a huge delay getting headers from TTI right now I ordered a set on May 27th for a car I'm working on and they still haven't shipped yet. Apparently, the problem is with the place that puts the ceramic coating on them. Jeff

    1965 Chrysler exhaust vs '66-'67

Probably. 1965 has a slightly different stub frame with isolated mount torsion bars. As long as the humps in the crossmember for the exhaust are in the same spot as the '66-up cars, you should be good. It's likely that they are. Jeff

    Exhaust layout

You usually don't run the exhaust out behind the rear tires on Chrysler products because of interference with the leaf springs. It's common on GM and Ford because they have coil spring rears and there are no suspension components rearward of the axle. GM and Ford vehicles with leaf spring...

Difference between regular and wagon exhaust

Dodge non-wagons have the same wheelbase as all the P, D, & C wagons do, 122 inches. The only difference in the tti kit between sedan and wagon will be the tips or end pieces at the very rear as seen in the pictures. Even when used on a wagon, the wagon tips usually have to be trimmed to...

    Exhaust fitment

You can usually find driver side HP manifolds pretty cheap, like $50-$75. The pass side is expensive because it fits B bodies too.

    Exhaust fitment

You are correct. Flanges are more or less parallel to the ground on std manifolds and I know the driver side HP is angled out away from the engine, and pass side may be too. Jeff
