WANTED 66 Fury III 2 door hardtop rear glass

Doesn't say if it's for a coupe or 4 door, but certainly worth checking out. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2047787505639066/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Aad8e49e4-14ac-4218-b814-a08672cf2f96 Jeff

68 Town & Country hood torsion bar rollers

After some more searching, it's hard to believe that I don't have some of those hood bars laying around somewhere. I took a look at the parts manual, and the roller was only available with the bar as an assembly. That makes it very likely that the end of the bar was swaged or crimped to keep...

Wheels won't fit over new disc hub?!

Wagons use the same wheels, rotors, etc. as other cars. Sounds like you got parts that weren't properly machined. Jeff

68’ 300 OEM disc swap question

Your Imperial should have a dual diaphragm booster, so that will swap in fine. You won't be able to use the pedal assembly. You may be able to swap the Imperial pedal onto the 300 pedal support. The only way to know would be to try it. Jeff

No dice last night on the bars. I have one more place that I can look on Wednesday. I'm 95% sure that I have them somewhere. Jeff

Just in case it's not covered in the other discussions. I believe that if you have 14" rims and want to keep them, you're only choice will be the Scarebird kit. Jeff

68 Town & Country hood torsion bar rollers

I took a look last night and couldn't see anything since the roller is up against the track bracket. I may have a loose torsion bar in my parts collection that I can look at. I'll see if I can find it tonight when I get home. Jeff

Wrong brake booster? Holes dont line up

1971 and newer cars came equipped with a large diameter, single diaphragm booster with disc brakes, which can be used on earlier cars. The dual diaphragm booster is needed on slab cars to clear the shift linkage on the column. The booster in question is the '71 and up disc booster. Since his...

    Made it into the 12s

Nice! The car looks great in the bottom photo. Drag racing full size cars was standard practice in the early sixties, but it's quite a niche thing these days. Jeff

    1968 Polara Center Link

I usually pull the pitman arm off the steering box, and as Dave said, unbolt the idler from the frame. Then you're not beating up the pivot joints to get them separated. You can push the whole deal forward as the front wheels turn out. Jeff

Body shop recommendations in northern NJ

Maaco is one of the few places that I know of that will paint a car that's been prepped by the owner. I've seen some pretty nice jobs done this way, but you have to find the right location and make sure the right guy does the job. The Maaco in Montgomeryville, PA. is supposed to be a good...

'71 Imperial. I'm trying to remove the wheelhouse...

Chrysler took a page out of the GM design book on that one. GM loved to make you remove the right side wheelhouse to get to HVAC parts going back to the early 1960's, even on cars that only had a heater. I've got the wheelhouse out of a 1963 Impala at work right now to get access to the A/C...

Vent window only works for a few seconds at a time / 73 Imperial

I've had a couple motors over the years that were just hopeless. Everything looked perfectly normal inside, but they would quickly get very hot, even running them with no load. Jeff

Vent window only works for a few seconds at a time / 73 Imperial

Yes, that's it. You may want to try cleaning the contacts first with a very thin file or piece of sandpaper to see if that solves your problem. The "nuclear" option is to just solder them together. Another issue that I've been seeing a lot of lately is high resistance where electrical parts...
