Don't put your test light in there though, could blow the bulb. Does with an aftermarket coil anyway..

Yes it's fine for a test, but in the start position the effective voltage is 9v because of the draw. And then the ballast resistor keeps it at 9v...
The coil is never intended to get 12v in oem form.

Seats are definitely not the same. For example 70 B's have high backs but C's don't. And other differences.

The system operated at 9v because that's what it could get during cranking....

So I got my heater core and new evap and gasket kit. The gasket kit instructions seems to show that the gasket for the 2 body halves should go on...
