My 4 top screws show no evidence of paint, so I agree with silver. From the picture below, before I did any work, the 2 bottom bolts match interior color. (Dash is now black)

I didn't like these upper control arm bumpers because the square index is so shallow that it can't hold the bumper in the control arm while tightening the nut. Moog #, but not Moog brand on package. Used cloth around bumper and vise-grip to hold bumper while tightening No index

69 Fury Dash hatdware to cowl

Bottom is a pivot point both sides. On my 1970 Fury the bolts were 5/16" thread with 1/2" head. At the top, screws at both ends of each defroster vent, 4 screws total, came out and installed with 5/16" short socket, 1/4" swivel, 1/4" extensions and 1/4" ratchet. Don't know the size of the screws.

Carb rebuild....how dumb can one get

Did you turn the wheel manually with the engine off? Rebuilt steering gear: I had to fill the pump reservoir, start the car, and have my wife turn the wheel fully side to side several times to get the steering gear fully bled. I added fluid as the pump level went down.

Sometimes revs climb 300-400 rpm in Park as the car warms up. This can be normal. Depends on how much your revs climb

    Date Of Manufacture?

When I was in tech school, the rule for radials was replace after a max time of 10 years. For cars made 2000 and later, look for the 4-digit DOT code, Month/Year. 4020 means 40th week of 2020 is date of production. For tires made prior to 2000, DOT code is 3 digits, 2 digits for week, 1 digit...

1971 Fury GT, Gold, Promo Car

Before I can hang any of the suspension parts on the front subframe, the subframe has to be measured square and also square to the body/rear subframe. Chrysler factory shop manual gives the following instructions for determining whether the front subframe is square and square to the body...

    Question

Agree with Samplingman! I have 1971 Fury Coupe and 1970 Fury convertible. 1971 front subframe is completely different than 1970. 1971 has rubber bushings/isolators at all mounts. 1970 is non-isolated. Rear subframes are weld to body and may be the same.

There's a cruise-in at Brunetti's on Saturdays, starting about 5pm and beginning in the spring. I drive my Fury convertible there and talk with the Mopar faithful. http://www.brunettiexpress.com
