What did you name your car?

Background: 1965 Sport Fury, recently had complete restoration, but will never be done, with approximately 1,200 miles since completion, three years to complete process, owned car 36 years. I originally just called it "The Fury" which then went to the "Money Pit" but now has migrated to "POS,"...

WANTED 66 Fury Radio delete dash panel and quarter window guide needed

Check out the wrecking yards as Ross suggested. When I was looking for 65 Fury parts here in Phx. I ran across several 66'S. I know several of the 65's I salvaged parts from had the guides and they may also fit the 66.

NOT MINE 1972 Newport $800 New Orleans, LA

Have a GTO in Arizona, bought in California four years ago with plate that says 1966GTO. No plate required here in Arizona so my car has a California plate in front! Hmmmmm!

Can't Be Too Careful - Sad Day!

Nice day, took the GTO for a drive, Fury in shop, and lunch. A short distance from my cozy outdoor restaurant, a fully restored, very nice 1956 Studebaker Falcon pulls out on the street and gets hit by a van with it's blinker on to make a turn; NO TURN! Totaled the Studebaker; front totaled...

    Mouldings

On my 65 and once I got the end caps removed which were held on with a screw, I was able to slide the mouldings one way, butterfly clips underneath, and then the other repeatedly until they were removed. Worked for me and put them back on the same way. Kinda like a little puzzle.

    Possibly "Christine 2, 3, 4 and 5"!

Pulled the fuel pump off and I was amazed at how the end riding on the camshaft was worn down, 1/4- 3/8", and was jagged. Took the rod out and put the pump back on just to seal the hole and changed to oil because of potential metal. I installed an electric fuel pump and have ordered and going...

    Possibly "Christine 2, 3, 4 and 5"!

I have had my suspicions because it is a Griffin and customer friendly and standing behind their products is not any of their virtues. I have basically the same set up in my 66 GTO and it works great so it has been puzzling. Taking it to an expert in a week or so and should get some resolve...

    Possibly "Christine 2, 3, 4 and 5"!

I have had my 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury for 35 years and had another for approximately 2 years in the late 60's before the long arm of Uncle Sam said "come here boy!" I have been working on an overheating problem, which I have presented and made inquiries on this forum, for approximately 2 1/2...

Fan Shroud For 1965 Plymouth Fury 22" Radiator.

Thanks. The primary reason I went this route was I was doing a full restoration and everything was stock and I was already having a heating problems even after overhauling the stock radiator! The only thing it did not have was a shroud; maybe the problem, maybe not. Received a lot of good...

Fan Shroud For 1965 Plymouth Fury 22" Radiator.

I am assuming your running an electric fan, am I correct! I currently have an aluminum shroud with a 17" fan which does not cool (interesting enough, the same set up I run my 66 GTO fine - never goes above 185 here in Phoienix). Finding a shroud that I can modify is the problem but would like...

    Fuel tank paint?

Go to an auto parts store and get body undercoating and coat the whole tank. East Texas, a lot of moisture and a lot of rain. Top of the tank is the problem, not the bottom because moisture will get trapped between the liner between the tank and the car body but but will take years to rot out...

    Fuel tank paint?

A gas tank will rot from the top where the moisture is trapped between the tank and the liner assuming you put a liner between the body and the tank.

Fan Shroud For 1965 Plymouth Fury 22" Radiator.

I am looking for a fan shroud for a 1965 Fury with has a 383 with a 22" radiator. Everything I find on the internet is for a 62-64 B body and then from 1966 and up for B and C Body. I put in a new aluminum radiator and am currently running a Derale 17" puller fan along with a pusher fan...

    Water Coming out of Tailpipes

Nope! Arizona and I had been driving the car for over 1/2 hour and outside temperature was in the 80's with 15% humidity.

    Water Coming out of Tailpipes

Have a half take of gas and should be drained. However, I am unable to lay on my back to get under the car (dr.s removed my stomach and esphogus) and can't lay and drain so I am either going to have to get a lot of additives which might absorb the water or have it hauled to a mechanic. Thanks...

    Water Coming out of Tailpipes

Thanks. See picture and comment below. Has to be water in the gas. No other explanation of further pondering and conditions.

    Water Coming out of Tailpipes

Attached is a picture I took this morning after starting and running for 2-3 minutes and it died out on two occasions. Has to be a "bad gas" issue and a fill from a bad tank at the gas station within the last three weeks. Running overpriced premium. Concluding it has to be a tank of bad gas...
