Firm feel or Steer $ gear?

Talking to FF they say that the "Stock" feel is actually more like a brand new Cop Car feel. The hard part about all this is that unless you are REALLY lucky, you have zero opportunity to try out someone elses setup to know how to compare. Trying to explain a "Feel" on the internet and...

Firm feel or Steer $ gear?

Again. Personal preference. If i was city driving all the time it would be fine i think. Most of my driving is highway since I live in BFE and stage 2 gets tiring after an hour or so.

Firm feel or Steer $ gear?

I just remembered this. Not sure why I forgot. I had them do a Stage 2 on my fury a year ago, it was too much for a heavy car like this so just had them go back in and do a "Stock" build. expensive mistake on my part.

Is the ‘Certicard’ in the engine bay common?

very cool that they stay with the car after this many years. For years i've never had a rig that had the card with it. Now the last two in a row they had them, I'm keeping them in the folder of documents just so they don't deteriorate more than they are now. 68 D100 farm truck, and the 67...

Firm feel or Steer $ gear?

I doubt anyone has used both to be able to give an unbiased opinion. I used FF and so far zero issues, but have heard the same about steer and gear, you'll always have outliers with each I'm sure. Be sure you know EXACTLY when you'll get your box back in your hands, that may be a deciding...

Build Card received from Stellantis today :)

funny this comes up today. I ended up emailing from another email address I have asking if they are still around, I got a reply that they are. They never got my original request at all, I think their spam filter is catching them.

    Cam Concerns 68 Polara w 383

Give Oregon cams a try. They use mopar cores and the price is right. I've used them for quite a few builds and have never had a problem.

How Much Octane Is Enough For Good Engine Performance?

Assuming flat top pistons and closed chamber heads. If you're at a true static 9.5:1 then you should be able to run 91 octane with a re-curve. Really comes down to cam, jetting and timing at various throttle position and loads. There is no blanket answer though. Octane boosters are...

    Turn Signal Switch?

jumping on this thread. I have a 67 with tilt-scope. I'm rebuilding the steering box so this is the perfect time to refresh the column......but the little bit i'm digging in, the actual switch itself is near unobtainium, and I'm not clear on the GM part that should work. To add, this...

Holley Sniper II or 4BBL Carb Upgrade?

I should start a sniper bootlegging operation....I'm sure that's been done and busted already though.

Holley Sniper II or 4BBL Carb Upgrade?

good question and for sure I wasn't clear. It was the AVS2. I do like the carb, but the Sniper2 just is that much better for a daily driver. Not to mention no more heat soak, I could never totally get rid of it on hot days even with a 1" composite spacer. I'm keeping that eddy around...

Holley Sniper II or 4BBL Carb Upgrade?

Throwing in my 2 cents. I've run Holley/Brawler and Eddy AVS carbs on a few cars and the last 2 I went from a Brawler to Sniper 1 (Not too impressed as it was finicky) and the Fury I went from a 2bbl, to 4bbl AVS then to the Sniper 2. The Sniper 2 is soooo much better. Car starts WAY...

    440 owners - a question

exactly what carb are you using and what settings and jets are in your carb? when at idle what vacuum are you pullling? One note. Backpressure is a bad thing, I don't care what you think, engines don't like it. it's an air pump. and to add to that, if you have remove backpressure...

Convertible Seals: Steele Rail Weather-strip Set

you won't be able to use bulk material for the Conv top front rail, it's a complex piece with corners etc. The front along the top of the windshield is flat then it tapers a bit to the corners and has a bend there where it starts to go backwards along the Vent frame and then the side window...

Convertible Seals: Steele Rail Weather-strip Set

Hey all, this past year I installed new front convertible seal. There is a gap that I can't really solve for, I've sent Steele my original seals and they acknowledge that there is a difference, but they also say that they have sold over 200 sets and only have had a few returns over the years...
