AC line replacement - 68 Newport

Hello Chrysler Fans, Working on an original AC car, but I'm missing the AC line/hose from the compressor over the radiator to condenser coil. So, I do not have the fittings to add a new hose to, and am looking for a source where I can press a button and buy it complete. Any worthy sources...

68 Chrysler HVAC box removal FRUSTRATED

Yes, thanks for that. I get it has to come out regardless, however I'm considering sending this particular task/project to a professional mechanic, (vs. me the backyard/hobby mechanic) and I'm trying to get an estimate of how many hours it will take him to do the entire swap. Primarily for...

    66 newport heater core replacement

Hey Newport 664door, How did you make out? How long did it take you? I'm curious on the time it takes as I am debating to do the work now or next winter. Couldn't find standard shop hours for this task, although I hear it is daunting. thanks, Mike

I agree that I definitely have a problem, just can't find it. The EWC is a band-aid. What other reasonable options do I have? Thanks. I'll add it to my list.

Fan is turning the right way. New aftermarket clutch fan, water pump, fuel pump, stock shroud, radiator, new plugs and points, timed, tested for combustion leaks, burped (that helped)..... I wonder if it is running too lean..?? Or if I need to burp it even more... It turns over easy enough...

I've experimented with a cleaned out 26" from another newport, as well as an aftermarket 26" smaller cored version. Both overheat.

Thanks for your $0.02 Bill. Don't think I can let it sit all summer without coolant in there, but I can spare a day. I think you might have something on the running lean idea. I added a HV fuel pump in case it was starving due to an old tired pump. Perhaps I should investigate running it...

I forget... I think 180 or less. I've run it with and without the thermostat, same result. I think something is off, perhaps to much gunk on the heads or something else. I use 93-94 octane, and lead additive. No knocking, timing is fine, fiddled with that a bunch last year as well. Not missing...

Fellow Mopar Enthusiasts, Dear Chyrstine (68 Newport) runs hot. I find myself nervously watching the temp gauge when I am out for more than 10 minutes. I hate, HATE feeling that way when out for a romp. Short of a complete engine and tranny rebuild, I am considering using a Waterless Coolant...
