More than likely its a 1/4'' x 1/2 to 5/8'' long with coarse threads like 20TPI. Stick something in the hole to see how deep it is. 7/16'' long... Valve Cover Bolts 1/4-20, 40 in.lbs torque, 7/16 in. A shoulder head will spread the torque and keep from dimpling the VC.
