    Nexen N'Priz vs Hankook H735 Kinergy 235-75-15

I put these Venezia Classic 787 tires on my 63 Riviera and my 67 Newport 5+ years ago. They are wearing great, the whitewalls are still in excellent shape. These are a great tire in my opinion. After I got the Newport operational back in 2019, I was coming out of Cocoa Beach on the 528 doing...

    1966 Dodge Monaco

Possible collapsed soft hoses? Possible clogged brake pipes (lines)? I guess if fluid is flowing when the brakes are bled, then the lines and hoses should be OK. Hmmmm....this is a brain teaser.

    Who sells leaf springs?

Thanks gents as always. I plan to simply replace the left rear shackle and leave it at that. I ordered one from Parts Geek, but it was incorrect. THEN, I left hot Tampa with my wife for a 3-week vacation to northern California. Here's a shot from a breakfast place we ate at in San Francisco...

The springs seem good. The car actually rides high in the back.

    Who sells leaf springs?

Parts Geek had the shackle, $25, with shipping and tax it totaled $38.

Thank you John. Should be pretty easy with my lift!

    Who sells leaf springs?

Truth be told, it's just the bushings on one of the rear shackles that's bad. I'm seeing them on ebay for around $33.

    Who sells leaf springs?

Hello fellas, the bushings on my leaf springs (67 Newport Custom Fasttop) need to be replaced. I called the shop that did my NYer front end, and the VERY knowledgeable C-body guy there advises just to get new springs. He says there would be too many hours getting the old bushings out, and...

Tech tip: How to align ur own suspension at home

I'd tell you how I aligned my '67 Newport, which tracks perfectly these last five years, with no uneven tire wear, but surely some jackwagon would raise a fuss and tell me I'm wrong. Remember when I successfully touched up the bad spots on the black carpet with a wide Sharpie marker?

Thanks Fury. Thanks to everyone for their help.

    Rim ID...Mopar, Buick, or......??

Thank you Gentlemen, I knew there would be expert advice out there. The photos of the B rim might look like the center of it is wonky (kinda hexagonal), but it doesn't seem to be as a result of anything wrong....it looks like a factory thing. As we speak, I need to pull the drums...

    Rim ID...Mopar, Buick, or......??

I have these rims in my shop, and I'm not sure if they are Mopar or GM or whatever. I figured there would be some keen observers in the group who would know. Rim A I think is a 14" Mopar rim. Lugs are 2-11/16" center-to-center. Rim B might be a Buick 15" rim. Lugs are about 2-7/8"...

68 Newport, can the wheels be moved back?

I don't have such problems: steelies, white walls, and hub caps. That's how I roll.

    Re-use these drums?

I shoulda went with your post CBARGE. I was convinced the 3" shoes were right, but after installing them, the drum would not install right...the cotter pin couldn't set, because the drum wouldn't set inward far enough. So, tomorrow I'll get the 2 3/4 shoes on and I suspect that will solve...

    Re-use these drums?

Thanks as always CBARGE. My setup does have self adjusters, and no indication of any tow package. It sounds like the big 3" drums came with the tow package, and thus the 2.5" shoes I found on the front of my car are probably incorrect...and the fronts should be 2.75". Does that sound right?

    Re-use these drums?

OK, new problem: I was trying to order new brake parts from a supplier, and they asked if I had 2 3/4" front brakes, or 3". I hadn't pulled the front brakes apart at that time, so I just bought both sizes. Then today I got one of the front drums off, and the shoes measure 2 1/2", just like...
