Information regarding "Safeguard Sentinel" system for 68 Chryslers

Not to bust your bubble but I've had a couple cars with these and they never really worked that well. Couldn't trust them. I don't know how much they want for it, but pushing the floor button would be a lot more prudent than drilling holes in your cowl or dash just to find out it doesn't work...

    MPG and fun

I don't even bother to check. Just doesn't matter:rofl: My sister-in-law is always looking at me cross eyed when she sees my cars and always asks how many miles to a gallon I get. I tell her I'd rather 10 mpg in an Imperial than 30 in a **** box!

    Did I fry my engine?

Great point Rip. If you've fiddled with the carb or replaced it with another it's very easy to screw up the kick down linkage. I'd try that before messing with the bands. As Rip says adjustment is crucial or you can fizz your trans. It will shift all over the place. It's not that difficult just...

The XJ12 is a 4 door Vandenplas sedan, not the two door XJS. I had '93 XJS but it was the six cylinder. Awesome car. I believe the last year for the XJ12 sedan was '96. The XJS was made till '95 as a 6 cylinder. Then the XK8 came out in '96. Your XJ6 looks very nice! Love those Jaguars! The...

The more important one is the fender tag. It's on the top of the drivers side inner fender. You can see it in the pic you posted off the engine bay. At about the four o'clock position. The snorkel is almost pointing to it. If you can get a pic of that when you get the car, these guys can help...
