    I actually just dealt with this over the weekend. In all my life I've never touched that adjustment at the top of steering box but I replaced it with a different box from another 76 royal monaco and it was leaking from there. Had to really crank it tight with a ratchet but it fixed the problem

    Tip stub on end and dumped each end full of transmission fluid that will keep your moisture out and rust away. It will be fine for your life time unless you drive in the winter and salt

    You'll wanna leave the section open for your body bolts to go back into but yes it absolutely won't hurt anything. It only helps. Clean it it up. Weld it and por 15 the whole stub

    Bolt pattern measurement will tell you the answer. 5x? A is mopar. B looks like GM to me.
