A Competitve Make of Interest in the Slab Side years

It is really amazing how the Europeans have developed such an interest in the big Detroit cars of the 50s through the 80s. The Scandinavians really love these old boats, there appears to be a whole subculture around them over there. Here's me, driving my '63 Riviera on Riviera Drive in Tampa.

Dash LEDs '65 and 66? How difficult?

Thanks to all you fine Gents for your advice. BUT...sweet mother of God that sounds excruciatingly difficult! The power bench seat in my 65 NYer weighs easily 150 pounds. It's a beast. I removed and re-installed it to replace the carpet, and Jesus it was really difficult. Given the feedback...

Dash LEDs '65 and 66? How difficult?

Howdy gents, I have converted my '67 Newport dash lights to LED, as well as my '63 Riviera. The Newport was a lot more difficult than the Riviera (had to drop the steering column in the Newport, etc) , but in both cases the swap was worth it. Now I'm thinking about changing the dash...

    Windlace, where to by?

Thanks Dave, I didn't think of them. I'm still in sticker shock at their quotes on the seat fabric at $159/yd, and the vinyl at $85/yd. Ouch!

    Washer motor problem

Hello again folks, I'm trying to restore the windshield washer on the '65 NYer. I bought a pump from Classic Industries, but it sounded loud and simply would not pump enough water to hit the windshield. They were nice enough to send me another unit free of charge, but unfortunately it's...

    Mystery: Exhaust fumes pretty bad

Thanks Xenon. I knew that a car in motion creates a certain vacuum, so I suspected that with the windows down, air was being sucked in from somewhere. I did some investigating tonight and found that there is a valence in the rear-most area of the trunk, above the rear bumper if you will...

    Mystery: Exhaust fumes pretty bad

Thanks Eureka, It isn't a gas smell, it's clearly exhaust fumes. But now that you mentioned it, today I had a gallon can of gas in the trunk, and as we were cruising along, all was just fine. But when I opened the window, I could smell the exhaust fumes AND the smell of gasoline.

    Mystery: Exhaust fumes pretty bad

Hello again, As I finally got my '65 New Yorker 6-window Town Sedan back on the road last week, a curious thing happened. All was fine for the first 100 miles of city and highway driving, working the bugs out. Then I noticed the exhaust tips on both sides terminated underneath the...

Hello again fellas and fell-ettes, Does anyone know of a company or website that sells rubber door and trunk seals for the C-bodies? OR, is there a universal profile that can be used on the trunk of my '65 New Yorker? Thanks as always.
