    Master cylinder thoughts...

Ah yeah Big John; I'm gonna go for dual master cylinder but not only cuz it's safer but also because it's better priced! & I've also had a bad thing happen once with a failing single m.c.... I moved one bigger yapcrap into a Peugeot with the -63 Valiant I drove at that time while my -62...

Once I bought a camshaft from the states that was suposed to be a real nice deal but in the end the shipping & cutoms costed more than the shaft... Since then I've had pals buying & sending over instead. Aside from this reality thethee; where about in Holland are you? Due to owning ships we...

Oh I know, I've got good pals in the US & so on but... I reckon shipping in US is quite a bit quicker too since it aint got much to do with overseas travel.

I'm located in Sweden... The thing about ordering from US is the tax & stuff + the looong time it takes these days due to people being sick & home cuz of corona.

Well BlueFury, I did all new cylinders, pipes & hoses on my -55 Studebaker & it's drums without power asistance; it was all new stuff & I can still brake hard, I do it sometimes just for the feel of it so you aint wrong about that... & now it's all new stuff on the Chrysler too but there's...

I'm planning to replace the master cylinder on my -56 NewYorker & I wonder if anyone knows if there's some newer MoPar model that fits? I have one from a Volare laying somewhere, if that's an option I'll dig it out... But what about the drum vs disks in this case? I know that most people are...

-56 rear axel, what is it?

    Ok, another guy said that the -56 & -57-&-up guts & fronts won't fit so that's why pre -57 wasn't 8,3/4...

-56 rear axel, what is it?

I've got hold on a 8,3/4 from some big Dodge so I could get emergency brake on my -56 Newyorker & I thought the -56 axel also is 8,3/4 but a guy said the 8,3/4 came for the -57 models... So what's the -56 axel I've got???

-55 Dodge steering box inside stuff vs Chrysler

My -56 Chrysler's steering box is way gone when it comes to adjusting but I've been offerd one from a -55 Dodge to use the stuff inside, so I wonder if anyone here knows if the mechanics inside would fit? This is the (cover broken) one from the -55 Dodge:

    1963-64 rear axel

I'm getting an axel that fits now, it has the same perch distance as my -56 and(!) e-brake in the drums (+ flanged axels), I need that cuz some ex owner has put in modern engine & trans so the trans brake is gone. I sure wonder what vehicle that axel comes from thou, can't find it in any lists...

    1963-64 rear axel

Aha thanx, the reason I wonder is because a 63-64 axel might fit on a 55-56 and get parking barke in the drums. If you have a "lip" on the tape you can hang it on the outer side of the spring / blade hardest to reach & then messure to the inside of the one you're near, that'll make the same as...

I wonder if someone who has a 63-64 Chrysler could tell me the messurements center-to-center for the spring perchers? I can't find any numbers in any list of those years.
