    WANTED Chrysler 8¼-2:71 ratio differential.

If you look at the front end styling of that generation Imperial, a V-8 just doesn't look right under that hood design when you open it. I opened the hood after buying it and was disappointed when it didn't, at least, have a slant 6.

    WANTED Chrysler 8¼-2:71 ratio differential.

On that E49 Hemi 6, I selected long engine only because I make my own intake manifolds. Usually with internally polished stainless steel tubing that I heat up and shape to suit my needs. The carb flange seats are machined cast bronze. Before I cast the stainless tubing into the bronze, I...

    WANTED Chrysler 8¼-2:71 ratio differential.

I've had the computer since the early 2000's. It's a Compaq Presario 5000 running Windows Vista, since Windows 98 crapped out. I had to change some of the drivers and some hardware but, aside from that, you can't tell that it's not original unless you're an electronic specialist.

Also, no. I don't have a cell phone. I'm using my Compaq desktop.

    WANTED Chrysler 8¼-2:71 ratio differential.

Wish I could. I don't have a camera but it looks like any 1983 Imperial 2 door. It's metallic copper and cream two-tone, like my Dodge D150 that I borrowed the rear end from.

    WANTED Chrysler 8¼-2:71 ratio differential.

Okay, I can just use the brakes from the 9¼ diff, then. No problem. How might I proceed?

100% complete, or is it missing anything?

    WANTED Chrysler 8¼-2:71 ratio differential.

Hello. I have a 1983 Chrysler Imperial that I recently finished repairing after a tree fell on it. I need an 8¼ differential with 2:71 gears. The old one broke in half because of the jack stands that were holding it off of the ground. Yes, that is the OEM rear differential. Right now, I'm...

    Stromberg/Bendix WWC.

Oh! Thanks. Sorry for getting a bit abrasive. I deal with people who say "just do this instead" more often than I care to think about. I have particular ways of doing things that people seem to get annoyed with how (antiquated) they are.

I don't even need to bother with it if I'm working with a Stromberg. Look. Holley and Rochester are too common. I honestly don't know why anyone would want an Edelbrock. The two most reliable brands that I have worked with, and have a working knowledge of, are Stromberg and Carter. You can't...

    Stromberg/Bendix WWC.

My only issue with Rochester is the same as my issues with Holley: vacuum operated acceleration kick-down.

Thank you. I've just finished milling the cast bronze adapter to fit the intake manifold and am trying to line up the lesser parts before getting the carburetor. I used a new WWC flange gasket as a template for the adapter. The engine is from a 1985 Dodge pickup and was remanufactured. I hate...

    Stromberg WWC Carburetor question

I completely agree. If only newer vehicles weren't so godawful ugly.

Hello. I'm looking for information on the WWC. What is the air cleaner opening diameter for the cleaner housing base? Also, if anyone has ever seen anyone put a wwc on a 318 engine, I could use the pointers.
