    timing my 440 TNT

This what I am experiencing. It was much worse before my latest adjustments but is still slightly present. What I find strange is the car idles best with the 2 adjustment screws almost all the way out AND the bypass screw all the way in. This bugs me because now there is no adjustment and just...

    installing a vent tube

I think this gasket helped but does make a small whistling at part throttle low speed. I did also make a bunch of timing changes that REALLY helped.

    timing my 440 TNT

Brining this back up as I have made some changes The hot start did not improve as much as I hoped, and I still felt the engine could be smoother. It also bothered me that I had to run @15 degrees of initial timing and octane boost to keep knock at bay. Also I felt throttle response and idle...

    installing a vent tube

Hmmm. I had no problems on my Blazer with the Edelbrock 600. Been on there for a couple of thousand miles. I stopped by Oriley's on the way home and they had this. I installed it and reset a few adjustments. It is raining here, again, so I will have to wait for a nice day to give results.

    installing a vent tube

I thought about a spacer or a shield. I used this on my 74 Blaze with good results. Would my choke still be able to be used with a spacer though?

    installing a vent tube

I am getting a bit of extended crank on hot soak on my 68 NY'er. I have wrapped the fuel line in insulation and it helps a bit but i was going to try to install the WIX 33040 vapor return filter. My question to those that have done this, how did you run the vapor return line? Is there an...

Has anyone had Road Force Balancing done (either to fix a problem, or because it's sort-of standard now) ?

EXACTLY why this machine was introduced. No more passing the buck, it tells you if the tire is at fault or not. The customer and/or tech should not have to foot the bill for faulty tires.

Has anyone had Road Force Balancing done (either to fix a problem, or because it's sort-of standard now) ?

I have used a roadforce balancer ever since Hunter came out them. I roadforce EVERY tire I mount, it only takes 10 more seconds. It prevents comebacks and you can warn customers of potential problems if you have a tire that wont phase-match. To NOT do it seems lazy in my opinion. I write the...

    Am I being ripped off???

A 4 wheel brake job at our shop, with rotors, all factory parts, will run you north of $1200. Cutting the rotors saves you @ $100 per axle. Yes,you can buy cheaper parts but usually get what you pay for. $400 is a deal. He needs to keep the lights on too.

    Budd Caliper's

Well, I have to amend some of the above info. When I ordered the calipers from Carid, the description stated they were made by R1 concepts. In my excietment to see the calipers, I did not read the boxes. The calipers I received are actually made by DFC--Dynamic Friction company. Same part number...

    Budd Caliper's

Well, I just received my re-man calipers by R1 concepts, ordered through Carid. I must say, they are much better than expected. I was expecting the worst and was ready to send them back before I even got them. Looks like all new pistons, even though they still rock side to side quite a bit like...
