    1971 Imperial front suspension question...

Yes, I had to remove the upper control arm bumper to get the ball joint stud threads far enough through to get the washer and nut on.

    1971 Imperial front suspension question...

I've done some suspension cleaning that involved replacing upper ball joints. The engine is out of the car, and I want to reattach the upper ball joints to the steering knuckle. Any tips on doing this without the weight of the engine in the car? When I lift the lower control arms with a floor...

    Auto Temp II - Servo

Your only option without gutting the AC system is to get one of the Performance Analysis servos. Any servo you find used, will cost similar to the PA servo. A used servo is likely to leak soon after installation unless it is the PA servo. I also have a '71 Imperial and have the PA servo and...

    Greetings, various restoration issues

If the rheostat is an issue, sometimes spinning the dimmer control back and forth a number of times can make it work again. Issue is corrosion on the contacts.

'71 Imperial. I'm trying to remove the wheelhouse...

I'm doing an engine compartment detail. Engine is out and completed. I want to paint the wheelhouses, so both are going to come out. I want to brush all the rust scale from the frame and make it look nice. I may replace upper control arm bushings at this time, too. The stud in question...

'71 Imperial. I'm trying to remove the wheelhouse...

I've removed all attaching hardware, but the front lip of the wheelhouse is over a stud in the subframe cross member and under the radiator support. It looks like the only way to remove the wheelhouse is to remove the radiator support (more than what I want to do). I initially thought the lip...

WANTED Dip stick for '71 Imperial.

Your longer one would likely work, but I would like the style pictured above (style is more like your shorter stick). Thanks.

WANTED Dip stick for '71 Imperial.

Foolishly lost mine by not returning it to the dipstick tube and closing the hood with it loose somewhere underneath. Measures 20 3/8 inches from where it meets top of dipstick tube to full mark and 23 inches from top of tube to tip of dipstick. For 440 engine.

New to me 70 300 Vert. One owner

After market white tops can be purchased as a pinpoint vinyl or crushed grain vinyl. The pinpoint is a brighter white, but the crushed grain is factory correct and is a little more of a creamy white.

That should be on the fender tag. V3W is a white top for my '70 Challenger. V3X is a black top.

'71 Imperial 727 transmission neutral safety switch harness...

Can anyone provide a picture of how this clip attaches to the transmission? Clip... The drawing doesn't provide enough detail. I removed it on my transmission to clean and don't know how to reattach it. Thanks!

1971 Imperial brake parts availability questions.

Calipers can be rebuilt and rotors can be turned if they are not too thin. FSM should specify minimum thickness. If it is a Sure Brake car, original rotors must be kept as the ring that is used to pulse the brakes is part of the backside of the rotor, I believe. This from Elijah Scott of...
