Comp still owns Lunati from what I understand. They'll definitely know about the Lunati Voodoo line of cams. The 256 cam should work about us well with your lower compression G code 383. Lots of guys have put higher profile/rumpier cams in lower compression 383's and them seem to work pretty...

440 source heads definitely work on a 383. I have a 68 H code 383 in my sport fury. It is a zero-deck engine...standard bore 4.25" factory pistons align perfectly with the top of the deck. I used a .039 felpro gasket with the 440 source heads. The engine runs much much better than it did...

You're right Cbody! Sounds like my cam, nor any voodoo cam, is available now!! That's too bad...cant beat it for a heavy c-body.

Check out the Lunati Voodoo 256 cam....love it in my 68 HP 383.

I think you need a Carter AFB size carb...they have a smaller footprint than the AVS/AVS2 size carbs

Lunati Voodoo 256 cam would be great for the 440. Love it in my HP 383. Awesome cam for a c-body. You wont have to change out that 2.76 rear end.

Dont know for sure without the VIN...."D" or "4" in position 7 on VIN means Belvidere plant build.

AVS2 650 has worked awesome on my 68 h-code 383 in my Sport Fury. Couldn't ask for a better carb in my opinion. Purchased it brand new in early 2020. The original AVS from 68 had vacuum leak issues around throttle shaft.
