Where to buy a heater core?

There is only one place where you will get the correct heater cores for your C bodies and there is an extensive discussion in this highlighted thread about this Ebay source. I am surprised that more didn't respond citing this lengthy discussion...

Exact Replacement A/C Components Now Becoming Available for Our C bodies

Just an excellent review of the differences between the various model years. Despite different part numbers throughout the years, they apparently do not make any significant differences in being able to install them in the heater/evaporator case. That is a valuable outcome that sure helps me...

Just so I am clear on your comment, did you by from AC Global/CCS years ago on ebay or was it someone else? At least the heater cores I have seen from this vendor seemed to look to be about the same size as original from what Tim was showing he received about a year ago now as I recall.

It appears my assumptions that all fuselage vehicles would likely have the same heater cores since the housings that contain them mostly look the same are just wrong. So it appears a lot of the problem is with my/our assumptions more than...

Your willingness to help is greatly appreciated John. Do you have the various boxes identified as to the vehicles they came out of and whether with or without a/c? Thanks!

...sort out all the issues I have found in looking through all the parts books for the various model years but it seems at this point the heater cores for the 69 and 70 C bodies with a/c are not the same as the 71-73 C bodies with a/c. At this juncture though, I do not yet know myself how they...

...Thanks once again David for keeping us informed of your expert work. You were also very helpful when you showed us clearly what the issue has been with the remanufactured heater cores that was an issue with Ayilar's 70 blue 300 convertible. You are becoming a legend!

It looks like that post from CoolerClassics was taken down................but since he is from South Gate, CA he seems to be saying he now runs ACGlobal (now renamed??) since that is where they were located and wants to make things right. I guess the moderators took this part of this thread...

1970 300 w/440 running at 220 normal? Is 225 OK stopped in traffic?

I concur with @fury fan suggestions and I was also going to suggest getting a high efficiency radiator core with an original top tank for correct appearance and maximum cooling from GlenRay. Not cheap but worth it and their high efficiency cores do not use the tiny tubes that many high...

68 Chrysler HVAC box removal FRUSTRATED

I think you meant to say it was "made" in the U.S. which is indeed the case. I went through all of this same frustration with Global and never gave up until they had it perfect (Tim @sixpkrt helped a great deal to get it right for the fuselage cars). For the sake of the slabsides still out...

So the "fits all" evaporator that you bought didn't fit with what should have been a correct heater core when rebuilt by an old timer - what does that prove about the evaporator made by AC Global? A company that builds most all of the components for our specific cars will likely do a much...

If it had a "few pin holes to close", then it will likely have more in the future. I believe it is better to have the radiator shop put in new proper thickness cores that they may have to cut down to the correct dimensions. At least that is what I had to have done to one of my older cars once...

Just because you bought some piece of crap probably made in China off of Ebay, that doesn't say anything about the heater cores from ACGlobal, which are made in the U.S. by the way if you even had looked at the manufacturer writeup I pointed out at the beginning of the thread.
