1976 Chrysler Cordoba need help decoding build tag

What a nice Cordoba! Perfect color and power train combo too. I was 13 years old in’75 when the Cordoba made its debut and loved them ever since. I bought my first one in ‘87, it was my first “nice” daily driver.

65 New Yorker, first project car

Use discretion when looking up You Tube videos on how to do a particular job. There are many good ones out there but there are also ones that should not be because some folks just don’t have a clue. This goes for any type of how to video.

2023 the year of no progress for the ‘68

Hang in there. This is a new chapter of your life. Priorities change. It’s still important to have a hobby you enjoy, as long as it doesn’t get in the way of your main responsibilities. Break the work down to smaller increments when you have the time to do it.

I Guess I'm Semi Unretired Now

If you enjoy doing it, it doesn't feel like work. I plan on doing something when I retire, God willing, in 5 or 6 years just to keep the mind and body active. There is a good chance it would be automotive related or maintenance at a local ice rink where I would drive the Zamboni and get to...

    Paint under hood.

Ma Mopar didn't want you to see body color when you looked through the grille. Hence the flat black, and yes, it was not a neat paint shoot.

    11/32 in what world...

My 1/4 inch drive Snap On set from the early '80s has an 11/32", both deep & shallow. Working on early '80s to around '90 ish vehicles was always an adventure in figuring out is it metric or SAE?

Looking for these nylon molding retaining clips for a '68 Chrysler. So far no luck...

Try mrgsusa.com. They literally have thousands of fasteners. Ma Mopar also used the same type of fasteners through different body types.

Sorry for your loss. I'm sure you will do that "Bug" justice. Nice floor pan work. You don't need style points for something no one will ever see. Keep up the good work young man.

    Metal work on the 68!

That is some heavy duty metal work you have going on. That is what makes this hobby great, when friends and family get involved to help see it through. Thanks for posting the pics of your progress. I'm from SW Pennsylvania, the road salt claimed my dad's '68 Fury III sedan in 1977. So you can...

    Remove dash switches 1968 fury

Get a factory service manual if you don't already have one. It has the wiring diagrams and the color of the wires and what they go to. There will be some slack in the wires for you to work with. To pull the cluster you first need to disconnect the speedo cable and if it is a column shift you...
