This turned up after I knocked the rest of the undercoating off the inner quarters. The passenger side is in similar shape but not as bad. I'llcut this out and patch as best as I can and won't complain too much since this car had never left western PA.

So far this is cleaning up nicely. Found a few small rust holes under the slop, but they're small enough I should be able to clean them up and glob some weld in them. Not like it's going to Barrett Jackson auction anytime soon and a little weld is better than filler IMO. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

It's definitely not factory and recent. It's ziebart-like undercoating that's was slathered on there up until the late 80s when it was parked. I had a similar issue with my brake lights as the turn signals and 4 ways would work, but not the brakes. Replaced the brake light switch and nothing. Got this and it solved the problem. And yes it does fit the 71 fury regardless of what Amazon says.

"uncle Ray" has landed! 222 miles and only used half tank of gas.

Went out to a few cruises this weekend and "Uncle Ray" ended up winning 500 bucks at the last one. I guess it pays to hang out in the rain! Looking forward to meeting everyone in Carlisle this weekend and getting to park with all the cool kids for the first time this year!

Almost ready! Couple chairs and beers and I'll be making my maiden voyage Wednesday morning.
