Thanks much for the info. That's great news and in theory sounds like an easy removal. I'm heading over there tomorrow to carefully pull it along with some other parts. I'll post an update when completed.

I found a recently wrecked 66 fury with the interior in really good condition. I'm grabbing several parts this week including the perfect dash pad. Looking at my dash (I bought my VIP with no pad on the dash) I just see the 10 bolt holes (excluding the speaker grill) that look next to impossible...

First of all love the site! Second, I have a 1966 Fury VIP 2 door HT. I have a dent in the deck lid and found an almost perfect deck lid off of a 66 fury 4 door to put on. Are they interchangeable or is the 4-door lid shorter? Thanks
