    1963 chrysler 300 (rare?)

    According to the VIN listed in the ad, it is a letter car. Second digit on a 300 in '63 is either a 2 or 4, the latter being a letter car.

    Fender or Data Tag Decoding question

    the tag says it is a monaco 500 2 door hardtop..........DP23 (which should be the first 4 digits of the VIN) tells us that. a polara would start...

    The best you can do on a pre-68 car is to find the block cast date and the other codes on it which will tell you when the engine was built with...
