I’ve got the under dash assembly from ‘67/8 Imperial available.
I know ‘67 was the last year for shiny things in the field of vision of the driver.
Put the old sending unit back on and see what happens.

I haven’t personally had any success with re-arching weak old springs. Might be good for a short time after they’re done but I have found they end...
