A beef about car show judging categories. Your take?

Thank you for your well considered take on my thread that I impulsively typed into this discussion. Y ou are so right. I don't give a rat about a plastic trophy, But I would like to see one, just one, forward look MOPAR take a trophy in the 1955 to 1960 category. Just my beef. Thanks again, Chris

    1963 Pace Setter Steering Wheel

Thanks for your post. I'm looking for the wheel and the horn rim both. If I find a wheel without the horn rim, I'll be in touch. Thanks again. - Chris

A beef about car show judging categories. Your take?

Actually, our thoughts are pretty much the same about the judging at car shows. I'm not looking for kudos; I get them from the ladies who like the swivel seats and the kids who search for the turn signal lever. The car itself is enough--and probably enough for the great majority of folks who...

A beef about car show judging categories. Your take?

While I'm not a big fan of car shows, as they chew up a lot of weekend time, I enjoy going to a few to see folks' reactions to the "over the top" 1960 styling and features of my New Yorker. That said, I do have a beef with how show judging categories are set. I'm not complaining, just wondering...

    1963 Pace Setter Steering Wheel

I've been told that the Imperials had a larger diameter spline than the Chryslers, and the steering wheels aren't compatible. I don't know if this is true or not. Thanks for your reply. I'll keep up the hunt. Chris

I've just joined this forum. Here's a bit about me (and my cars, too)

Thanks for the comment! I know the wheelcovers aren't original to the car. As I said, the 300 is my driver and doesn't have to be perfect in every respect. Besides, I only bought it in May this year, so "hubcaps" are still pretty low on the list of what needs attention! :D All the...

Q: Just curious, where did the car come from? This car came from a memory when I was 10 years old. I fell in love with 1960 New Yorkers the very first time I saw one in my home town as a skinny kid. It was a Town and Country Wagon back then, but, after years of looking, they were all out of...

    1963 Pace Setter Steering Wheel

This is a tough one. I'm looking for a square/oval steering wheel with horn rim compatible with my 1963 Pace Setter. This is all I have found after a lot of searching -- (picture attached). It's the wrong color but the right shape, but I can live with that. I've had no response from the poster...

Will do. More pictures coming soon. Some details of what is to come: The exterior paint is Lilac, with the interior in Lily. The seats were reupholstered with what was told to me was the last OEM bolt of fabric available. True? Who knows. I have the remaining fabric that friends tell me that I...

I,m looking forward to participating in conversations here and getting your advice and feedback about owning classic cars. I currently own a 1960 Chrysler New Yorker and a 1963 Chrysler 300 Pace Setter Convertible. I bought the New Yorker after the previous owner had it restored to "as built"...
