Wifey called about a noise coming from her wagon

I got a call last night from my wife. She's in her 67 Fury wagon and says there's a noise coming from the left rear and the car is shaking while going down the road. She made it home ok but I hope she didn't do more damage. Guess what I'm doing after work today?

67 Fury wagon dome light lens

Taking off the dome light to change the bulb and the lens is pretty cracked. It will go back on but it is fragile. Anyone here deal with new repops?

    Watkins Glen Speedway

My wife and I took our 67 Fury wagon on a roadtrip to upstate New York. For $30 you can take your car on the track for 3 laps following a pace vehicle and then picture ops. A few regular vehicles with some newer Mustangs and Challengers. The old wagon kept right up and hit a blistering 70mph on...

    Timing and engine temp

My wife's 67 Fury wagon seems to run on the higher side of normal temp. I remember in the past someone talking about the timing being off a little will affect the temp. Right now the 318 2 barrel runs perfect. I had the rad flushed, better fan, fan shroud and new water pump and thermostat...

    Starter relay ?????

So I'm stocking up on simple small extra parts to keep in my wife's 67 Fury wagon for emergencies. Where can I find a good quality starter relay? I don't want to get the generic Chinese crap from my local parts store. I just don't have any luck there. It seems that every time I want decent...

    67 Fury tailgate motor issue

So I sent out the motor and the spare of my wife's Fury wagon tailgate to get rebuilt. I opened up the gear housing that the motor connects to. It's got some stripped teeth issues. I do have a good spare. Is there anyone that rebuilds these? The gears look like brass or something similar.

    67-68 Fury wagon tailgate

A couple of years ago I bought a nice solid 68 tailgate for my wife's 67 Fury wagon. The one on her car is in pretty bad shape. The last couple of weeks I decided to strip it down and get it ready for bodywork and paint. Quite a few frozen bolt etc. One thing that I didn't notice was the 68...

A new issue with wifey's station wagon.

My wife's wagon is a 67 Fury. The other day the tailgate glass wasn't going up all the way. The motor was grinding and I had to get out and give it a helping hand up. I pulled everything apart and found the gears are all chewed up. I have a spare tailgate so I removed the one from there. It...

My 65 Belvedere wagon left me stranded. Ignition issue

I know it's a B-body but you guys are so smart and helped me in the past with it and my 67 Fury wagon C-body. So yesterday I was left stranded. My 65 Belvedere wagon has original wiring with electronic ignition conversion. When I turn the key to start, it runs. As soon as I let go to the run...

    Public Service Announcement

So this happened. We are cleaning out my mothers apartment and one of my wife's friends is looking for a single bed for someone's kid. We decided to use our 67 Fury wagon. Box spring, mattress, frames and other stuff packed right in the back. Great. My wife calls the friend and we are on the way...

A new issue with wifey's wagon

Just when I thought all was good a new problem arises. I'm getting vibration while driving. Acceleration and cruising, not on deceleration. I pull into a parking lot and open the windows and listen. I hear little grinding and other little noises. I pull the front wheels off, passenger side is...

    Your preferable alternator

So I am scrolling through all these posts. I see different people with different opinions. I would like to know some pros and cons from you all. I read the post about the High Octane headlight harness upgrade. So this upgrade will help relieve some load on the factory harness? What alternators...

    318 cam and lifters

Hi all. Just got my 67 Fury 3 wagon back from the bodyshop. All the little rot holes are fixed and they blended the paint really good. Next is to freshen up a 75 318 because the original motor has issues that I really don't feel like waiting on a machine shop to hold me up for months. It's a...

    Freight shipping

Has anyone here used freight shipping to get large heavy parts? I just bought a tailgate for my Fury wagon. It's in PA and I need to get it to RI. The guy says he can strap it to a pallet but it would need to be picked up with a truck that has a tailgate. Pallet is 72x40 and about 200lbs total...

    Engine paint

I'm pulling the worn 318 out of my 67 Fury wagon. I bought a good running 75 motor that we are going to freshen up. Since the original motor is red, I want to change the 75 motor from blue to red. What's the best spray can engine paint? If you have pics of the engines you painted then let's see...

    Where is the voltage regulator?

Hey all. Where is the voltage regulator on my 67 Fury wagon? Is it behind the dash? I'm overcharging on the highway.

    Vent window crank

My 67 Fury has the hand crank front vent windows. When I crank them it doesn't feel like it's engaging but I can move the vent window open or closed depending on the position of the crank by hand. The crank will still lock them closed as long as I move the window by hand. Before I remove the...

    Turn signal option

I've been really delving into my 67 Fury wagon. It has the optional fender mounted turn signals. I was under the dash and I noticed that there are no bulbs or sockets for the turn signal indicator lights on the dash. I couldn't find any evidence of them ever being there. Was the fender mounts...

    WANTED 67 Fury wagon parts

After my new purchase, I am looking for a few parts. 1- The inside tailgate panel. Mine is rusted out so I cut some thin plywood and screwed it in for now. 2- The lower dashboard part that screws under the steering column. It has 2 vent levers and it's dark brown. 3- The passenger inside b...
