    More fender tag fun

Before my Monaco is permanently Bluesmobiled, I'd like to document what it started out as. So I've spent some time on the interwebs trying to find the various codes on the fender tag; not as easy a job as it should be by now. I think I've got most of them, culled from various sources. The four I...

    Trans cooler lines

I'm ready to install cooler lines in my '74 Monaco with a 440/727, and I have none. Looks like Inline Tube makes them for the earlier C bodies, would they fit with a tweak or two?

WANTED Shift linkage swivel - '74 Monaco

I just installed the column shift linkage, and I am missing the swivel that connects the column rod to the bell crank. These appear to be the same across the lines. Does anybody have an extra?

    WANTED 727 flexplate bolt

In preparing to bolt the 727 to the 440, I found that I'm missing one of the six bolts that hold the flexplate to the crank. Looked everywhere, pretty specific bolt and I'm stuck until I find one. Anyone have one in the Phoenix AZ/east valley area?

    R134 on top of R12

Has anyone ever mixed the two? My A/C is a little low, still cold but in the 50s at the vent, not as cold as it should be. I have a few cans of R12, but I don't want to waste a whole can if it only needs a couple of ounces, so I wonder if a small amount of 134 can be added on top of the R12...

Ball joint boots - '75 Monaco

All of my ball joints were in great shape, no replacement necessary. But the boots on the uppers were trashed, so they needed to be replaced. After exhaustive searches both online and at three local stores, I came to the conclusion that nobody makes aftermarket boots anywhere near big enough for...

    1978 NYB

Thought I'd post a few pictures of this NYB I used to own. Like most old cars, it had a story. My neighbor Ken across the street from me was an interesting guy, he was a retired trucker who hauled cars hotshot style (diesel pickup and 3-4 car trailer) for extra cash. He specialized in old stuff...

    Stubborn upper ball joint

I have to remove the upper control arms to change the inner bushings. Not having much luck with the ball joint studs, the puller isn't cutting it. I've also tried an air hammer on the spindle while under tension from the puller, and whacking the side pods on the spindle with a hand sledge...

Sway bar bushings - 1975 Monaco

You wouldn't think it would be so hard to find these bushings, but this isn't ten years ago, and now it is. Moog shows them as square all around, which obviously won't fit the rounded brackets, and other sellers show them as round with a ridge down the middle. Flanged half round is what is...
