Evening all So had a possible deal, or money pit, land in my lap. Have a friend of mine that's looking to offload a 66 Monaco convertible. Verified the drivetrains' original. Needs to be completely repainted. Not sure about the interior condition. Outside looks solid, top doesn't have any...

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/city-of-toronto/1968chrysler-newport-convertible/1670451498 Not a fan of the colour, but it's a stupid low price for a car in decent shape. Running a 383

NOT MINE 1970 Newport from facebook

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/701152481840252/ No idea if that's an original paintjob, but black interior. NO engine shots. If it wasn't an eight hour drive into the Quebec interior I'd see if it was sporting anything intresting under the hood, but my french is terrible at best.

Is asking for the VIN/Data plate considered sketchy?

So I've had about 30-40% of the adverts that I've contacted tell me that they won't share the VIN/Data plate on the cars that they have for sale, which to me seems incredibly sketchy. Is it poor form to ask for that? I figured it was just normal to want to confirm that but the amount of people...

Trying to verify if I'm correct about this vehicles information

Hello all So I found an advert for a Dodge 300 from 1963. After quickly finding out that it should have been a Chrysler, not Dodge, I found out that Chrysler 300's didn't come in red, nor where they a convertible in 1963, but were in 1964. Just wondered if those with better eyes and a better...

NOT MINE 1963 Dodge Polara convertible - 22k

Came across this one to give me something else to look at while in a nearby city (going there to look at a '51 Ford convertible). 22k for a 383 sounds good to me. Only thing that seems strange is....well you'll see in the pics. On facebook marketplace so it's a pain to share.

NOT MINE 1966 Chrysler New Yorker

Saw this on the first page of kijiji while surfing today. Four doors aren't usually my scene (I'm a topless guy personally), but this looks pretty mint. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-voiture-collection/ouest-de-lile-qc/1966-chrysler-new-yorker-300/1661221346

NOT MINE (Not mine) 1966 Dodge Monaco convertible - 24,500 CAD

Came across this black on black 66 Monaco convertible in my travels. Rocks a 383 with dual exhaust, and looks like it's been cared for quite a bit. I don't think the drive train or the paint is original, burt if that's not a concern, it'd be a nice ride for the summer...

Data plate readers for Canadian Monacos

Morning all So had an intresting car land in my lap, but when reading the data plate they provided, the designations are really weird. The trim is for a Coronet. The model doesn't exist, WEird things like that. I'm chalking it up to be a Canadian Monaco model, and wondered if anyone had any...
