Need opinions on 63 Chrysler part values

Can anyone give me a ballpark figure on what the transmission and driveshaft out of a 1963 Chrysler New Yorker would be worth? The trans is a 727 push button and the driveshaft is the trunnion style. The engine was a 413 4bbl single exhaust if that is needed. Thank you!

For Sale 1963 Chrysler New Yorker Parts Car

Hello All, My 1963 Chrysler 4 door New Yorker has met its end. Just trying to gauge interest here if anyone wants the car? At this point I would keep the front bench seat and the motor. But the rest of the car would be available. The car was in an accident so the passenger fender is destroyed...

    Need opinions on driveline values

Hello all, Does anyone know what a running, never disassembled 1963 413 with 41k miles from a 63 Chrysler New Yorker would be worth? I believe the block has the aaqa stamping on it as well. The engine doesn’t smoke and pulls very good vacuum. And what the push button 727 along with it would go...

    1963 New Yorker Exhaust Question

Hello All, I have a 1963 New Yorker with a 413 4bbl engine in it. It has single exhaust right now, and I'd like to convert it to dual exhaust (with a cross-over (H) pipe)). I know the 300 model this year had dual exhaust and even dual quads. I would like to upgrade to that exhaust. Does...

    Front Glass Issue

The passenger front window fell off the regulator on my 63 New Yorker. I was able to get it back on so I could close the window, but I'd like to figure out why it happened so I can fix it. Does anyone have any good photos (my FSM isn't very clear) on how the window itself connects to the...

    Driveshaft Question

Hello All, I have a 63 Chrysler New Yorker with the push button trans. On the driveshaft, where it attaches to the trans, bolts to a flange. There is also a rubber boot around the area. I know this requires some maintenance, but I am unclear as to what to do. Also, has anyone had any luck...

    Gas Cap

Can anyone confirm if the gas cap on a 62/63 Chrysler is supposed to be vented or not? I have a vented one on there, but if I park on a hill, with the gas tank at the lower point with a full tank, gas will leak out from the gap. Does this mean it should have a non-vented cap? I just wanted to be...

    63 New Yorker Speedo

Hey Guys, Does anyone know if the speedo in a 63 New Yorker, or in c-bodies in general, does not work when in reverse? It works fine when going forward, but when I'm going in reverse I noticed that the needle does not move at all. Thanks in advance!

    Walker Muffler Question

Hey guys, I just got a Walker SoundFX 18200 muffler, and went to install it yesterday and ran into a possible issue. This muffler was set up and intended for my application. The pipe that is closest to the stamped "outlet" words is actually the inlet (from the engine). The muffler doesn't...

    Automatic Transmission Fluid Question

Hello, I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but I wasn't able to find it when searching through the forum. I have a 63 Chrysler 413 with a push-button 727 trans. When looking for what the correct fluid is, the manual only says Type "A" Suffix "A". So that leads me to believe...

    Power Assist vs. Power Brakes

I recently heard that earlier (before mid 60's) mopars power brakes were referred to as power assist, and they had less brake feel than the later ones. The later ones, which were then referred to as power brakes were designed to be less touchy, and provide more feel. Has anyone else heard this?

    1963 New Yorker Brake Booster

Hello, Can anyone tell me if the brake booster that is on my car is the correct one for the car? It is the one I attached in the picture. Also, does anyone have a picture of a correct 1962 booster? It seems different than the one that is in the manual. If it's wrong, does anyone have a picture...

    Power Brake Booster

Whenever I step on the brakes, I hear what sounds like air hissing, and the idle picks up. But this only happens when I step on the brake. If the diaphragm in the booster was punctured, wouldn't it hiss at all times? The engine idles great and has great vacuum. It's a 63 413, so no emissions...
