    Turn signal confusion

Yes it's a tilt column and this sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. I think I have both ends, I'm assuming the length of wire I found in the top of the steering column is one end. The bottom end is still connected.

    Turn signal confusion

Finally decided that turn signals would be a good idea, I had the flasher removed because when it was installed the left turn indicators were constantly on. I thought it was the switch in the steering column causing the problem so I started pulling it all apart. When I got to the step in the...

Help, can not find window rollers 66 300 2 door

Can you define expensive? That square guide may be worth being more expensive than the round B/E body parts if it means my rear windows don't require two hands to roll up and down.

1965 Dodge Monaco rear window regulators

I feel the pain of not being able to find the square shaped roller for that rear quarter window regulator . Sounds like I need to get the whole assembly and pick the parts off.

    Curious:

I took this to recreate a pic similar to one with my first classic, I'll have to do it again some day when it's not so wet outside.

FNG with a '66 New Yorker...

Nice to see one out rolling around town. How much did you have to change to do the dual bowl master? I also love seeing under hood shots of mostly original cars. I get to see all the little things are were done wrong by previous owners of my car.

For Sale 1965 Chrysler Newport 4 door interior parts

Yes, if you could take some pics of the trim that would be great. I haven't had time to get the old instrument cluster out so I've got that to take care of before I start pulling any other trim out.

For Sale 1965 Chrysler Newport 4 door interior parts

Got all the parts, now to get everything swapped in. The lenses on everything are much clearer than what I have, it makes me wish I had some nicer looking trim on the dash now.

65 Newport, best way to attack motor mounts

The mounts that Catfish posted are what my mounts look like. Can I just remove the cushions/insulators? Or do I need to remove the whole mount?

65 Newport, best way to attack motor mounts

Right but what I'm saying is that the brackets are not the same on both sides and the cushions are flipped. The drivers side has the two bolts that hold the cushion on facing up through the bracket and the bracket doesn't have a captive nut/single bolt like your picture. It looks to bolt into...

65 Newport, best way to attack motor mounts

Hmm. Those almost look like the brackets on my car but the mount is held on by two shorter bolts on the motor side and the passenger side is flipped upside down compared to the drivers side. Those look identical on both sides. Do those mounts have two bolts on the back side to hold the cushion in?

65 Newport, best way to attack motor mounts

Looking at the mounts it appears that I can just unbolt the 3 nuts that hold the cushion into the brackets, leave everything else in place then lift the motor, slide the old cushions out and slide the new ones back in. Is there any reason to bother removing the brackets from the motor? Do I...

    What/How Would You Value a C-Body ?

My neighborhood is literally packed with classics. My Newport sits in the driveway standing out like a sore thumb but it is one of the few you see on a weekday. I've had a few of the retired guys stop me while I'm mowing the lawn to let me know I can use their shop/lift anytime I want. There...

    What/How Would You Value a C-Body ?

I totally agree, I buy cars because I love the way they look and I enjoy driving them. When people ask if I'm going to restore the car and take it to car shows I tell them no. Then I tell them my plan is to put it back on the road and take it everywhere. I don't mind the guys with garages...

I have a thing for hardtops and big trunks

No, I sold to to my brother in law's brother about 15 years ago. I moved to Detroit and was storing the car at my grandparent's house. Eventually my grandfather wanted that side of the garage back and I figured it was better if someone was driving it.

I have a thing for hardtops and big trunks

I ran across this while moving boxes for a yard sale. There's not a Mopar in the picture but it does explain my love for the slabside C bodies. The pic was taken in the fall of 1994, I bought the Galaxie that spring from a farmer who dragged it out of a barn that he was going to tear down.

    Getting one lousy part machined.

The pricing looks like they have a minimum order amount or a minimum run size so you can't have them make you a single $10 part. If you can sell of the other 20 that they require that's not bad but $180 for that $10 part stings a bit.
