I have the Headers and full 2 1/2 inch exhaust on my 65 Newport. I didn't install it but the shop said it fit well. We had the wrong trans mount at first but when that was corrected it was perfect. I also added Dougs electric cut outs.

Imperial Services does offer 2 conversion cables that will let you use the 65 column shift or console shift with a 68 and up trans. I haven't used one but they generally make very nice stuff. Kind of spendy. Like $425. I think they realize you either have to find a cable shift 727 core , buy...

It is about like a diesel. I think she made like 700 ft lbs of torque at 3500 rpm so no need to buzz her up. Lol the problem is that with these hydraulic roller cams and low bob weight they rev quick !

Check out the 440 source website. They offer 4 kits to stroke the 383 to 496 ci. Two that are .030 over (flat tops and dished pistons) and 2 .060 over. It isn't for everyone but so far this thing is pretty bad a$$. Will it last 100,000 miles ? probably not....will it out live me and my right...
